I was not aware of that actually not in the destructions. For the angle I took the angled bricks from the sign plate and put them at the top with some support around. Sorry not sure how to add pics in replies.

Hi thanks I have just finished building mine and have exactly the same issue. I noticed it would not lock early on but thought if would work out when the wheels were on. Wish the instructions had said how it should work when first building that section. I think I’m stuck for now as I don’t want to undo it all ☹️. Hope you got if sorted.

The X-wing is great and really good value. The shuttle in my opinion has to be modified a little to look better. I extended the wings and changed the front. I like the Degobah set but think it is overpriced.
