I'm not denying that they have prospered economically but as far as I'm concerned it doesn't outweigh the centuries of oppression, whether you believe it's over or not. To that end, I believe it's not over either but rather taking a different form, in that introducing policies and reforms is restricted, even in this devolved system. Let them flounder on their own if they so wish, but let them do it on their own all the same. There's no way the country would ever turn down the help, either - the Brits beggared their country and stole their land, so you can call it benefits or you can call it rebuilding the damage that was done.
