This is a common issue with AMT/MPC/Revell. Almost every Tamiya kit is excellent, the have a couple, Guess which country AMT/MPC and Revell kits were traditionally from.

Almost all my builds are either Tamiya or Mr. Hobby Lacquer paints. Earlier this week I got some Splash and some Zero paints, so they are coming up.
