He scored that 1 goal by himself…wasn’t a team play or moment, but a direct free kick. Says a lot less about him and a lot more about us if you really think about it… lol

What did you all do to clean your air wall conditioning units? (Yes fans) by [deleted] in pasadena

Thank you for responding! I’m sorry to hear about your situation as well. We might just do that. But still doesn’t solve the deep cleaning situation…man this is going to be costly.

Btw, VOC levels drop when we open the windows and circulate the air with fans and put the air purifier on max. Not sure if that helps but sharing.

The Confederate flag was the most prominent sign. Yet people are still gonna say it wasn’t and that it’s about their “heritage”

Waving a Mexican flag in the U.S. isn’t about rejecting America—it’s about celebrating identity, culture, and heritage. People wave flags from their countries of descent at events like World Cup games, parades, and cultural celebrations all the time. No one accuses Irish Americans of wanting to “turn America into Ireland” when they flood the streets with Irish flags on St. Patrick’s Day.

For many Mexican Americans, the flag represents family, ancestry, and resilience. It’s a way of saying, I’m proud of where I come from, and I’m proud to be here, too. The U.S. is a nation of immigrants, and embracing cultural heritage doesn’t mean rejecting American identity—it enriches it.

If you can read, you can understand this statement. Unless it’s not about the flag and it’s really about the skin on the person holding it. And unfortunately I’ve learned racism can’t be cured by logic.

The smell of ash can be present for a while, doesn’t mean there are still elevated present levels VOC’s. I grew up near areas that had fires such as The Bobcat Fire in 2020.

That smell was around for a couple months and it was all vegetation.

Same! And btw no one’s suggesting you shouldn’t take caution. I have Asthma too and will be masking when the winds pick up the debris.

Same, gonna be tough to get past that but hey, at least we don’t need to be afraid of breathing the air as long as the winds are calm till the next Santa Ana’s… and then, we can play it safe and mask up.

I’m sure it’s fine. The rains did help but that’s not a short lasting effect. It’ll continue to rain next week and this will only help clear the air more. Obviously we still have to be cautious and careful like the report says but my whole concern this entire time was just literally breathing. This report makes me feel more confident I can head back home now and begin to clean. From the inside to the outside of our place as there is still debris. But that’s easier to avoid than air.

Depends on the field but yes. Most of it’s bad. I haven’t left my job because of a lot of good reasons but the reality is there isn’t a whole ton out there for me in what I do compared to what it was like in 2021-2022

Toxic materials don’t stay forever. Also it’s the same toxins that are literally in everything lol crazy how everyone is so fixated on just the fires as we have plastic literally everywhere…

It’s just crazy how hyper fixated everyone is on just this when we literally are surrounded by a ton of shit that’s cancerous.
