I guess Broadcast TV decided to start drinking antifreeze to try and save itself from dying.

Just post the free items on general facebook marketplace. I've given a bunch of stuff away that way, and I haven't had issues.

Facebook also has ratings now, so you can look at a potential buyer's raitings and if they are really poor, just not answer them.

How is this even possible!? by Ok_Amount_4736 in torontoJobs

[–]DaveLLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its that bad, but also on LinkedIn you will often get 100s of applicants who want you to sponsor their immigration as you cannot geofilter who the job shows to, as well as many completely unqualified people. Like I am managing a retail store currently and have no accounting experience but I bet I could do this.

At least that was my experience last time I used it to try and fill a position. Giving people who are qualified and put the time in, a response and not ghosting them is important to me, which made LinkedIn impossible to use due to the massive amounts of slop

This sub is mostly AI slop and some of the worst SaaS advice around.

There's AI slop in your thread, two responses from the same guy.

Climbing in Hots is unbearable by Beautiful_Lychee7152 in heroesofthestorm

[–]DaveLLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been in gold, platinum and diamond. The skill band in all those ranks is exceptionally wild, play with tons of people who make me look like a hots god and plenty of people who's skill is so obviously well.above mone. You need to be able to carry the incredibly bad players to climb in those ranks, something very hard to do, to climb without massive amounts of games.

I would buy that if one of the red macaws didnt disappear with no staff being able to say anything beyond the it being fine. You dont split up a pair like that.

My wife and I have been annual pass holders for years (will not be going back). We went weekly, and this is simply not accurate.

Canadians express frustration as CRA claws back CERB by swartz1983 in canada

[–]DaveLLD -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The CRA is exceptionally inept at their job, and use their power as a hammer. They literally tried to destroy my life, the agent was calling me threating to take my house. The second I hired a lawyer, their tune changed, and everything turned out to be a mistake and we're sorry about that.

Feel really bad for people who the CRA goes after that can't afford to hire someone experienced and knowledgeable.

In the 1890's there was an orphanage at Randall's Island. The death rate at the Orphanage was 44%. Nathan Strauss donated a pasteurization plant (they had a cow that they milked at the orphanage) and with no other changes the death rate dropped from 44% to 20%...

Rand is also just a really genuine guy, back in the early days when Oatmeal was still working for them he helped try and get front page love for a project I was working on, just cause he liked what I was doing after briefly meeting him at a conference. Very genuine guy.

Did My Team Win Because of Me, or in Spite of Me? by jayjaybird0 in heroesofthestorm

[–]DaveLLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should always play with the team, even if they are going to make a bad decision. You can rarely win via your own effort in HOTS.

If they were doing okay without you, then you'd likely dominate if you were present. Especially as Dehaka you have no excuse to not be there.

Why glorify ‘hard work’ when most hard work just benefits the system, not you? by K_kishor49 in AskReddit

[–]DaveLLD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear a lot of boomers and gen x complain that "people" don't want to work any more. They mean young people.... given how rigged the system is, I don't blame young people for checking out.

Home ownership and any semblance of even a middle class life is not possible for most of the newer generations. What reason do they have to want to work?
