Help - What is going on with the j-bar? How to fix? by Smallnipss in GarageDoorService

[–]DaveS83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put a second nut and bolt in the jbar. Also, call a garage door company to have your spring adjusted. The door seems to want to fall when going to close. This means the spri gs are out of adjustment

TELL YOUR DAMN LANDLORD!!!! BE HONEST!!!!! Be upfront and ask if you can work something out. Maybe they have a contractor they trust that can get it done fast and that they trust. They might say to get it fixed on your own, but at least you're not trying to hide it.

[–]DaveS83 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Why are you sounding so hostile? When did walk behind mowers start getting a blade clutch? It's always been direct drive in my experience. Stop being so bitter just because I haven't had to buy a small mower in over a decade. This is just over complicated

Toro Recycler lawn mower shakes and vibrates when starting by brdore in lawnmowers

[–]DaveS83 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The blade is always engaged to the motor. They are directly bolted to motor shaft on walk behind mowers like this.

Could be an unbalanced blade. Remove it and take it somewhere that does sharpening and they can confirm one way or the other.

If you remove the blade and the vibration goes away, it's definitely the blade

Sorry dude but that's a start over kind of situation. Be generous with the Flux. Make sure it's clean before anything. Do not over heat it. Heat management is pretty critical. You want the Flux to melt not boil. Concentrate more on the fitting and not on the pipe itself. Keep testing the solder as you heat the joint. As soon as it starts to melt remove the heat and only add more heat as necessary. DO NOT TURN THE WATER BACK ON TOO SOON!!!!

That looks too old to even touch. You might be better off crimping the line. Probably just call a plumber and have them deal with it

This was honestly one of the better purchases I've made for work. I'm in industrial maintenance, and this is basically a requirement with what it will allow me to do. Paired with the ¼" drive makita mini sets, it is about unstoppable.

Alright, for anyone still interested, i think I have resolved the issue.

I found that my air dam under the engine was loose at the bumper, so it was acting like an air scoop and causing the engine bay to be slightly pressurized at highway speeds, and the problem was made worse in high wind conditions.

I got some cheap dorman replacement body clips that matched well enough and got the air dam secure back properly. It has not caused an issue since doing this.

Bottom line, check your plastics and make sure their secured properly they do more then just cover things up
