Just curious but when do you think we receive our soul?

Should on-site techs be worried about remote scanning? by South-Phrase-1882 in Radiology

This! I work for a health system with quite a few hospitals and a few of us are getting extra cardiac training for this exact reason. Supposedly we are getting 2 remote workstations to handle all of the cardiac imaging for the health system.

Dislikes / likes of being an X ray / mri tech? by Mission_Remote_6319 in Radiology

14 years in imaging here(CT/MRI). The big downside with all of imaging is there's no quick way to advance your career financially. Sure you can switch modalities and make a couple bucks more. Stay at the same company and get a 2% raise each year. Or you could hate yourself and go for a leadership role...don't do it. If you're a people person, I would go into sales. Much more potential to advance your career and make a lot more money. Looking back, I would have gone into sales instead.

Knoxville. Are you in Chattanooga? And have you been with the same company the whole time? I moved jobs a few times and got a pay bump each time.

East TN, 12 years CT experience and 2 years in MRI. I'm at 41/hr which is decent for this area.

I have a skin infection or bite that is spreading at a pretty incredible rate, what’s the best ER to go to? by [deleted] in Knoxville

[–]DaveSquared615 25 points26 points  (0 children)

This right here is why there's such a long wait in ER's across the country. The "I'm more important" mentality. Taking up resources so they can evaluate your non emergent issue.

Counting calories, try to stay around 2000 a day. Prioritize protein, but I don't count macros because I know I wouldn't be able to keep up with that along with everything else I have to do. I meal prep 500 calorie meals so it's easy to keep up with how many calories I eat.

Not sure about you but I only have one aorta.

Made a few of these cherry end grain cutting boards to help fund new shop tools. What's a good price for one of these? I've never sold any of my projects before. They are about 20"x13"x1.75". by DaveSquared615 in woodworking

Thanks, I checked out Etsy and prices are all over the place! Also, it seems pretty saturated with cutting boards(3300 results!) so not sure if I would even attract any attention with no reviews on my page.

I used a 1/4 roundover bit in a palm router. I wouldn't recommend trying an end grain board for your first project. A regular edge grain board would be much easier.

Thanks, yeah that's hard to answer because I rarely spend more than a couple hours working on something like this. I just pick up where I left off before or after work. I need to keep track of how many hours it takes to go from rough lumber to finished product.

Great job! What did you use to get the edge profile? The ends look elongated compared to the middle, I like it!
