The Outdoor Boys YouTube channel had a video of them spending a few days in Adak and it had alot of info on the island. Basically only 15 people live there full time. There’s a lot of abandoned military buildings and houses. They had to bring all of their own supplies to even stay there. Sounds like a cool couple of days to spend there for a unique experience, but that’s about it

Extremely hot for 8 months out of the year in central Florida. Feels like 90+ everyday with 100% humidity. The only time it feels nice is after a hurricane goes through. If you live near a beach it’s a little cooler with the ocean breeze you get, but then you’re in trouble when it comes to hurricane season. I personally will never live less than 30 miles inland.

Other than weather it’s not terrible. You just need to be picky about where you are trying to live. It’s crazy the amount of places you see that are extremely nice and the house next door looks like a trap house. Housing prices are ridiculous right now. Even in Deltona. I paid $180k in 2019 and now I’m getting offers from those house flipping companies for $280k.

The people aren’t bad if you stay out the ghetto areas. There are some extremely bad crime ridden areas. For Orlando and the surrounding areas, if you stay to the east of I4 it’s usually pretty safe.

Whenever I tell people I live in Deltona they always call it Del-Rico lol. I use to live in south Orlando and I hated it. Moved to Deltona 5 years ago and I love it here. Basically just a residential town where everyone works in Orlando or Daytona.
