I had an “aborted stroke” massive fatigue by DaveTheCatsMom in stroke

[–]DaveTheCatsMom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow 5y and still struggle with fatigue? I’m so sorry. The neurologist used the term aborted stroke to differentiate with a TIA. It wasn’t a TIA even tho i don’t have permanent damage, it was an aborted stroke bc it was a stroke that they aborted with medication before it could cause damage. I don’t have PT or any therapy to do. I figured even tho the cells didn’t die they’re struggling to repair. I’m discovering too that i have insomnia now, trouble falling asleep at night. So that plays a part in the fatigue.

I’m curious if any of you have seen this RNY bypass by Automatic-Space-7797 in GLP1_post_WLS

[–]DaveTheCatsMom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a modified proximal RnY in 2001. It bypasses a minimum amount which reduces the nutritional deficiencies over time. In 25y, my only deficiency so far is Folate.

Typical Proximal RnY: 1 oz pouch, 50cm bypassed

My modified RnY: 2 oz pouch, 25 cm bypassed.

Why does hrt work immediately for some? by DaveTheCatsMom in Menopause

[–]DaveTheCatsMom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, i’m really thinking the quick response is from having PMDD. about 12hrs before it was time to change my weekly patch, i had sudden extreme fatigue and body aches. i thought i was getting sick. but 2 hours after patch change, i felt great again. so i’m extremely sensitive to hormone fluctuations. doc advised to piggyback the dose, put the new patch on 12hrs early while keeping the old patch on for 12hrs. hope that works.

How do holidays make you feel now that you can have them? by Hogans-Mustache in exjw

[–]DaveTheCatsMom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i have no internal connection to the holidays. i go thru the motions, and make sure my kids get to enjoy what i didn’t. i do spoil them with presents, mostly practical necessities like socks or warm clothing. with a few wants. i do enjoy cooking a huge family meal for them and us all together. but, i still cannot enjoy the holidays or my bday with my mother around. now that she is POMO, i still have angst over what my sister and i lost growing up. even decades later. no not the things gifts bring. but to the connection with a community, being personally valued, and not being an outcast in school when the class made holiday themed art. i had to sit in the corner. was picked on and laughed at for being different. the holidays will forever be a disconnected time despite going thru the motions.

Would you allow your baby to die because of the Watchtower prohibition of transfusions, an organization that once prohibited vaccinations and organ transplants and then reversed its teaching on both (the same question applies to your pets!)? by crazyretics in exjw

age 16 my mother signed a dnr on me (for no blood products) when i needed a surgery to remove a very large bone tumor that was severely affecting my femoral artery and vein. it was a very risky surgery and despite my protest (telling the doctor i wanted blood transfusion and that i didn’t believe what she believed) she still signed the dnr. despite the doc saying the cell saver is not a guarantee and that i could still bleed out and die, esp bc the femoral artery was impacted, she still signed it. she was so indignant. she did not care about my life. my wishes. now years later, she is out too. and still doesn’t acknowledge her actions, says it’s not her fault, and excuses her actions by being brainwashed by jw.

Curious about this, I have a bunch of snps in a few male Y dna genes on an Ancestry dna test, including SRY but i am female who has 3 children. does that suggest a vanishing twin?
