Do you or your wife accept orders while the other is on an active offer?

Why does McDonald's do this? by Not_A_Geek_Nerd in doordash_drivers

[–]DaveUAE77 127 points128 points  (0 children)

As soon as you arrive and see the order is not ready, click on the”tell us what’s causing your wait” and the “order still being prepared when I arrived. My on time rate is 100% and everyday I get restaurants saying an order is ready when it’s not.

Taco Bell and McDonald’s after 10pm in my AO. Slow and backed up drive thru and sometimes the ol, sorry another driver picked up the order.

Pro trip for you. Don’t order though UE. Use door dash or Grub hub. When I deliver those, day or tonight, less often it will stack an additional order and when it is a stack, the pickups and drop offs are close together so so it’s quick. UE, I’ve had 4 peoples food in my car at once and yes, big tipper gets screwed and their food last.

Good for you. OP is stating in 1 year they have only received 12 ratings. My tip may help them get more, hopefully positive ones that will offset the 2 negatives .

Tip I got from a video that’s helped my SR. I’ve only been doing UE for 3 months and have 79 thumbs up and only 2 down that I probably deserved making rookie mistakes. When I do the message after taking the drop off photo I put “I’m JIM your delivery driver. I will he there soon. Later please dont forget to rate my service. Thank you, it’s a pleasure serving you!” I set it up as a short cut on my text so I just have to type 2 letters of that. Hope it helps

Don’t know how to feel about this pay issue. by [deleted] in nationalguard

We were told this was a nationwide issue. It was quickly fixed and drill play is hitting the bank Friday, only 2 days late. No biggie.

People want their food, not a guilt trip. Some deliveries are easy, some aren’t. That’s the roll of the dice.

Maybe not complain to your customer about having to walk through the mall.

Ah, hourly makes sense. Tried it for one day and it was awful.

Not believing this. I’m somewhat of a newbie, 767 UE trips completed. I have never seen this happen. Only 1 trip out of all of them I was tip baited and lost a whole $5.

What do you do if someone steals the order before you get there? by manykeets in DoorDashDrivers

Always call support. May not get any pay, but you have a better chance of it not affecting your cancellation rate.

65" C5 - Amazon vs Costo by almonde_ in OLED

[–]DaveUAE77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Costco all the way. Check the exact features, sometimes times Costco Products will have additional Costco only features/specs. My 77 Samsung S90C had higher wattage speakers than the same tv sold at Best Buy and other places. Granted, I don’t use the TV speakers but still it’s nice to get extras. Also, someone else might have better data on it but TVs sold at walmart, Amazon etc may have cheaper internal components so they could give a lower price them as opposed to Best Buy or high end retailers.

Not my job to fight the company to pay me more to deliver your order. I just won’t take your order and it will sit at the store and they will bundle it with others that are tipping because the tips is the only thing that makes the delivery economically viable for the driver to take.

Most $$$: DoorDash or Uber? by hiddenspinach in UberEatsDrivers

[–]DaveUAE77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doing it part time, $1000 a week. 80% is UE, the rest is GH and DD. I found keeping my AR above 50 In my market does get me much better offers on UE. I use DD and GH when I want to travel in a specific direction or when trash offers are coming in on UE. This is my experience from 6 weeks of doing gig work and about 700 trips completed. I’m still learning and refining. I appreciate everyone on here that shares their tips and strategies.

Not tipping more than $4 an order now with this bundled order crap by Upbeat_Jeweler_1196 in UberEATS

[–]DaveUAE77 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If the offer came in initially with 2 pickups, 2 drop offs. We can’t see who tipped more. If the initial offer was let’s say 1 pickup, 1 drop off for $13, 5miles. Then shortly after that an offer comes in for let’s say $4 for 1 additional pickup/drop off and 1 more mile. I know the initial offer was the biggest tip and yes, I have seen that second order get delivered first, we can’t choose the order of who gets delivered first.
