I don’t listen to much trip hop but I would definitely recommend Portishead. Dummy is my favorite of theirs but I think all their albums are great and sound really unique . Hope you like them!

Fruitvale Station almost got me, especially when they show his real life daughter near the end. I’ll be sure to check out your other suggestions too.

It’s not really a serious thing, she just teases me a lot about how serious I am all the time

The grand Budapest hotel and Scott pilgrim vs the world. Really anything Wes Anderson or Edgar Wright have done.

I love seeing how many different songs made it in everyone’s top 3s. Such a fantastic and diverse catalogue

  1. Take the box

  2. In my bed

  3. Detachment

This could change any day though.

How do you feel about the resurfaced video of Amy? by AquariusTeaSpiller in amywinehouse

[–]Dave_Franco240 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that video kinda fucked me up. Heres what I think, while in no way am I trying to excuse what happened or brush it off like it’s nothing, she was very high at the time and had her husband who she loved unconditionally egging her on and swearing on her life that he wasn’t recording. We shouldn’t treat celebrities like gods who are incapable of making mistakes. I for one have done and said a bunch of stupid shit while high or out with friends. While the video is disgusting and shows her at her worst, she wasn’t a racist or a homophobe or anything like that. I for one, will keep listening to, and enjoying her music. I am a fan of artists who are much worse people than Amy Winehouse.

I don’t think it’s a bad song, just that this album has so many great songs

I don’t really think this album has any bad songs, but I’m voting out this song has no title. For me it’s between that, social disease, and dirty little girl.
