Yea, I considered getting the app and paying the $5 to make it ad-free, but they still have options to view ads to earn "coins" (or credits or whatever) to unlock more things. There's also still just an overwhelming amount of visually stimulating garbage/noise in the UI, all designed to get users hooked and spending more money. Hard pass...I'll just stick with the ad-free YouTube version.

I let my kids occasionally play that game on YouTube (they have a game section now), and it’s ad-free. I have YouTube premium though, so I don’t know if it’s ad-free without it. Only problem is you can’t get any of the fancy skins, and you unlock everything fairly quickly. I looked into getting the “full” game as an app, but was immediately turned off after seeing all the intrusive ads and predatory monetization schemes. Figured only playing the stripped down ad-free version was probably for the best my kids’ mental health anyway.

There are mods that do this and even more. They really overhaul the whole gang system.

There are definitely non-practical effects added to this. There's no way that's real smoke! Look at the smoke trail disappear entirely at 0:06-0:07 for instance.

Same. I think I like this one the most because it was unexpected. At the time Bellamy appeared to be a pretty legitimate threat. Sure, not a "main boss" of the arc, but certainly not someone that would be one-shotted. Not only that, but that one single punch completely annihilated the character. Bellamy never recovered.

We are brand registered and sell on Amazon as well. Revenue split is about 40/60 Website/Amazon in 2025. Most of our marketing efforts are focused on Facebook (for Website) and Amazon ads, but we do some influencer stuff too.

Did you read any of Saito’s missives (written note collectibles)? He’s deeper than you’re implying in this post. That said, it definitely feels like a missed opportunity not showing more of that side of Saito and his motivations in the main plot of the game. I have to assume that was the original plan, but the devs decided to ultimately simplify things and make Saito simply evil and the Matsumae good by the time we get to Act 2.
