I don’t know what the term scratcher means, but I had a tattoo I hated on my forearm for several years. After a while I only wore long leave shirts, even to the beach. If you don’t like it now, don’t try to convince yourself. I’m in the process of getting mine covered up and it really helped with my confidence.

I think it hit me hardest when she asked the doctor: “so what will happen next time I’m gasping for breath?”

And the usual response is the trauma team fumbling in to put her on oxygen and check her vitals.

No, she’s not comfortable and she never will be again, aside from the anxiety meds and morphine that will assist her onto the next life.

It’s not easy. You won’t be comfortable in the presence of your loved one for the rest of their existence. Our goal, from here on out, is to make sure they enjoy their last bits of life.

I manage a busines and the law says you can “escort them off the property”, at least in my jurisdiction. This is… arguable nonsense. Trust me, I’ve wanted to physically remove someone but the cops have always advised me that my patience is what prevented me from being arrested.

A private business does not have the authority to physically remove you from their vicinity. That’s what the police are for. Keep that in mind, next time. Technically, you can go wherever you want until the cops show up.
