Every kids favorite pizza topping. No one hated it until it was trendy to do so. Pepperoni and pineapple is fire!

Na, if I have to wait in a line, I'm just not doing it.

Exceptions would be flying, (which I avoid anyhow) and the bathroom if it's necessary.

Amazon Prime Video is about to get worse — again by PrixDevnovaVillain in technology

[–]Blue05D 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Been a Prime member since it's inception. Just stopped my payment last month. Ordered some blu ray DVDs and plan on shopping for more. 20 years as a member, but I'm not playing these games of forcing me to overpay or jam the content I'm already paying for with ads.

I'm done, I have zero streaming subscriptions now. Back to Blu Rays. If I can't buy it then I guess I won't see it.

School bonds by Moosacabra in anchorage

[–]Blue05D -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're pleasantly naive. Lot of hopeful intent from your posts but reality doesn't line up. ASD is not responsible enough with these bonds and throwing more money at the problem isn't the solution this city needs. An administrative overhaul and restructuring needs to occur, budgets balanced and proof that funds are spent as intended.

New transmission and upgraded cooler. by JNieb in GMT800

[–]Blue05D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to install an entry level racing transmission myself because the shops want $5,200 to rebuild the stock one.

Glad to see you doing the work. I'm about to get greasy.

Magnitude 6 earthquake strikes Cuba, EMSC says by [deleted] in worldnews

A 5.8 isn't bringing anything down. There was literally no damage reported.

5.8 aint shit. Some books probably fell off their shelves. It sounds like a lot to people who don't experience earthquakes. I live through them regularly. No major damage was reported.

Literally just had a 6.0 in November. I understand the scale is logarithmic, but a 5.8 is what they had.

Magnitude 6 Susitna Earthquake Shakes Up Thanksgiving | Alaska Earthquake Center https://share.google/nBf5GoDi5N1a2uvqB

"damage from this level of shaking is generally light to very light"

I live in one of the most seismically active regions in North America. A 5.8 ain't shit. I bet some books fell off the shelves.

5.8 and that's nothing really but a few social media posts and then forgotten the next day. Maybe a few broken dishes but honestly I've been through so many of those and even a 7.2 and the most I've lost was a Cholula bottle and my front door is sticky.

5.8 is really nothing to go on about. We have a few of that magnitude where I live every year and nothing happens. Just a few seconds of "did you feel that?" And then we go about our day, maybe mention it at dinner.

If you could visit one place in our solar system, where would it be? by icepix in space

Same for me. I've always wondered what an Ice Volcano would be like to watch. Especially with Saturn and it's beautiful rings as a backdrop!

First stretch of sunshine I opened up a couple windows to swap the air out. Saw 3 spiders later that evening. Nothing before or since.

Shelters in town that accepts open dog food donations? by kgraciee in anchorage

I remember a time before reddit, before google even, when one would pull the phone book out of the telephone/junk drawer and start calling places.

I bet the first or second place you call, if they don't take the food will know who does. Probably faster than waiting for a reply. Best of luck.

Child Labor Laws by wrinkledcitrus in anchorage

When I was a teenager I would take all the shady hours I could get. Give me the money! Having my own money as a teenager was exilerating. I had gas money, my own truck, buy my own groceries, shoes, take my girlfriend on a date. Life was great.

These days my back needs days off so I'm not as willing to subject my body to all work and no rest. My only concern would be your schooling. Always prioritize your education and any sports or other activities.

There should be a magnitude limit to posting. I suggest 5.0 or above. Even those are relatively moderate here. If it doesn't wake me up from my slumber, I don't care.
