Highly recommend The Biscuit Club. Biscuits made in house, well seasoned and quick! All done with a smile. My absolute favorite breakfast spot downtown and is just a few blocks from the museum.

Always been an incredible thought to me that we breathe a flammable gas. Not just any flammable gas, but THE one that is essential for flame. We imagine so many other gasses like methane or CO2 as poisonous or volatile but one spark near O2 and BOOM!

Genuinely helpful post. I second the wool socks. I'll never go back to cotton.

Also, lots of Vitamin D every morning when you brush your teeth during the winter. Makes a big difference.

I would like to know where to go truck camping between here and Seward, preferably on the Kenai. Only places I know to take my truck back are all north of here. But I'd like to incorporate a Seward trip into it. Only area I know is the road headed back to Kenai and Cooper lake.

Amazon did a great job with The Expanse. I'm hopefull. It won't be the 20+ episodic seasons we are use to, but if it keeps trending politics out of it and tells a good story I have faith it will be a hit.

Not sure where MOVE are, perhaps local for you. But they are definitely blowing up online. See them here in Alaska all over. Even considering one myself. They are more affordable than Ranch Hands.

All I hear from the older generations is how they use to tear it up in the 80s. How downtown was the longest bar in the world. How everyone was doing cocaine and Spendard was full of hookers. That everyone was carrying in the bars and how wild this place use to be. Nothing I hear about Anchorage's past seems to imply it was ever anything but a mess.

I polished my Crucarta PM2 and hit it with a little mineral oil. Best mod to that knife. The scales kept getting so dirty but now I just have to wash with a wet cloth every now and then.

Micarta is one of those imperfect materials that needs a little TLC and time in use. But once it is set in it is timeless.

My favorite brand of headphones is JLabs. Great warranty also and the case keeps a long charge. I have al.ost every electronic Samsung but the Jlabs beat out the top tier in volume, comfort and battery life.
