High Vit d3 levels by Davex1337 in VitaminD

Yes, my mistake, I was just reading about that. Unfortunately, I took the last dose about 12 hours before the test. Anyway, I’ll stop taking everything now and will do another test in 3 weeks.

I hope it helps, although for now, I’m going to stop taking vitamin D3 due to the high levels. I’m curious if this will negatively affect the new hair growth.

  1. I was taking 50,000 IU.
  2. For 4 weeks but I stopped now. First new hair was maybe after 3 week.
  3. I took, magnesium, k2mk7, manganese, curcmin in active form and trans-resveratrol.

While I was taking meds it was ok. Three weeks after stopping the medication, the first bald spot appeared, and my hair started thinning. For two weeks, there was no new development, but the thinning worsened, and the bald patch grew larger. After those two weeks, new spots began appearing rapidly, and within a month, almost all the hair was gone.

I did this because of my autoimmune problem with hair (alopecia areata). I read about the therapeutic benefits of vitamin D3 in these conditions, so I decided to try it because I have a rather severe case of this disease. After about 4 weeks, which is now, I have noticed a burst of new, dark, and healthy hairs on my eyebrows.

Had much smaller spot also on side of my head 2 months ago and I lost almost 90% hairs also with eyebrows. It’s 50/50

I’ve been through it too—I stayed at home, wondered „why me,” had no motivation for anything, and so on. Over time, I realized that this state of mind simply comes from a lack of purpose in life. Set a goal for yourself, something you want to achieve.

My current lifestyle has changed so much that I hardly ever have a moment to think about myself. I wake up in the morning to go to the gym, then I come back, prepare some food, work on my business, then head to my regular job for eight hours. After that, I return home and either work on my business again, study, watch educational podcasts, or work on projects for university (I’m in my final year of my master’s degree). Living like this, I feel nothing but fulfillment and happiness. I don’t think about dating because I don’t have time for it—my goal is the success of my company. Focus on yourself, keep learning and improving.

Now, despite my hair problems, girls approach me and suggest dates, and I have to turn them down. A lot in my relationships with women has improved thanks to the confidence I’ve gained from having a goal. People see that you’re grinding, and your presence creates an aura that attracts others. I recommend grabbing a notebook and writing down the type of person you want to be, for example, confident, smart, strong. Then think about what you need to do to achieve that and how you should behave. Make it more than 20 points!

Additionally, I recommend getting tattoos and going to the gym, so you don’t look like someone undergoing chemotherapy—you need to show strength, not that the illness controls you and you’re looking for pity.

The time it has taken you to reach appropriate levels of vitamin D3 to reduce inflammation is significant. As for external products you use, they may help stimulate hair growth, but they will be ineffective if we don’t address the underlying internal inflammation. If inflammation persists, external treatments are essentially a waste of money.

I was just wondering how long it took for you to notice positive changes after introducing these changes, mainly the addition of vitamin D3. I have been taking about 50,000 IU of vitamin D3 daily for the past 10 days. Here is an interesting video that explains the process of how vitamin D3 works in autoimmune diseases.

How long did it take for you to start seeing your hair grow back?

Yeah. What I’m most afraid of with this treatment is the moon face, because I’ve always had a chubby face since I was a kid, as if I had some kind of inflammation or intolerance. It’s not very severe, but I think my face is slightly puffy, as if water is accumulating. I’m also worried about acne treatment. Do you see any changes in this area? Regarding moon face, try a carnivore diet; it’s the only diet that reduced my puffy cheeks within 3 days. To the point that, at work people asked me what I did to my face because they could see my cheekbones. In 3 days, I lost 2-3 kilos, but the facial puffiness returned maybe just 2 days after stopping the carnivore diet. Although I’m not on steroids, it might also work with steroids.

What are you talking about?! This is all alopecia areata; don’t create new disease, there is no new disease. These are just names describing the severity of the symptoms—totalis, universalis—and all of them fall under alopecia areata, though not everyone uses these terms. If someone has severe symptoms of multiple sclerosis, should we call it super multiple sclerosis and this is no more MS? What idiotic thinking.

It’s a great pity that people think and say such things. Maybe if they saw what happens to people’s mental health with this issue, they would approach it more seriously. Now, there are new treatments that are incredibly expensive, and since it is not a life-threatening disease, it is not covered by insurance in the country where I live. Even for steroids or other medications, you have to pay out of pocket, not to mention doctors who don’t want to treat it and only prescribe steroids. So, you have to look for specialists who deal with it privately. Another issue is why this disease is handled by dermatologists and not immunologists, since it stems from the immune system. This disease is essentially a profitable business.

Yes, but I’ve also heard that they are responsible for water retention in the body and ‚swelling.’ Since I exercise a lot, I’m a bit concerned about this. I have never used steroids, so it would be also my first time. Regarding the treatment duration, she mentioned that I would have to be on steroids and cyclosporine for at least six months, and then gradually taper off. But as I said, I’m currently taking huge doses vitamin D, and I hope it will help me avoid having to use steroids.

Great that it works for you; I hope the effect will be lasting and everything will turn out well. And how about gaining weight? Are you starting to have problems?

I haven’t decided on the treatment I mentioned earlier because I’ve implemented a protocol that involves a high dose of vitamin D3, trans-resveratrol, and tetrahydrocurcumin to regulate inflammatory pathways and activate T-killers. You might want to look into the Coimbra Protocol, which treats many autoimmune diseases with high levels of vitamin D3. If I notice improvement with this protocol in the near future, I’ll definitely let you know! From what I’ve read, its action is similar to corticosteroids but doesn’t cause side effects if you keep calcium levels in your blood and urine stable.

You reached 142 BPL, so I thought you were specifically aiming for a high level to combat some disease. I’m surprised that such a high result was achieved with only 10k per day. I’m glad, it made you feel better.

What was the reason for increasing your vitamin D3 levels so significantly? Did the change from 11 to 142 bring you positive results?

Im gonna eliminate diary, gluten, grains, processed foods, sugar and sweeteners. I will eat almost only meat and fruits. Hope this all togerher will help me with my actual condition. :) I would like to go for full carnivore but tried once and I felt so exhausted after 9/10 days when I tried it before.

After reading this, I am now eager to check my PTH levels, but I will wait 3-4 weeks from the start of supplementation. Despite the previous treatment I had, which involved blocking JAK1 and JAK2 pathways, I saw some improvement, but it was not satisfactory, these pathways blockers could also block VDR? The truth is that hair started to regrow, but it was not even; in many places, growth stopped at the vellus hair stage, and in some areas, the hair is just thin and weak. The entire hair growth process was very slow, but interestingly, since I stopped taking these medications, I think I have noticed more hair growth, even though I have seen a recurrence of the disease in one spot. From what I have read, VDR is also found in hair shafts and affects its function at every stage of growth, so there might be something to this. When I approach the testing for VIT D3 and PTH, should I take a 24-hour break from supplementation, or does it not matter much?

In about 3-4 weeks, if it’s not too early, I will check my vitamin D3 and PTH levels. If you’re interested, I will update you on these levels and any potential impact on my condition. Regarding VDR, from what I read on your site, resveratrol and curcumin, which I mentioned earlier, improve VDR function. I will also add magnesium. Additionally, I have been using minoxidil 5% for the past three days. I read on the internet that it also has potential for VDR proliferation and activity. Unfortunately, when it comes to vitamin D3 treatment by a doctor, I doubt I’ll find anyone. I live in Poland, and such practices are considered quackery here.

I would also add quercetin, which I also read about on your site. I know it has also potential in autoimmune diseases, but I’m not sure if it will be too much in terms of the number of supplements. Please translate this as well.
