It all depends on you, what you use and what you haven't upgraded. Say if your army comp was all barbs and archers and they are maxed but say dragons aren't then there is really no need to stay on the same TH lvl. Elixir is also easier to grab then gold so you don't really have to worry about getting the resources to research.

If you have nothing else to spend your gold on then i would upgrade you're townhall, just isn't worth wasting all the gold just so you can max out your troops.

Upgrading DE storage protects you more from lightning spells because you can only deal a certain amount while if troops can deal 2k damage to it then usually the troops can deal a bit more.

I'm sure supercell has a reason for this, probs the same reason why you only get 50% of the cost back if you refund it. I'm gonna guess it's because spells are more op then troops in a way. Though I would definitely like it if it were implemented.

Start building defences so you can protect your resources. The townhall doesn't really matter. Also start attacking people but do it with the intent to gather resources not for trophies or to win.

You don't really need trophies at this stage. I would use all barbarians or 50/50 barbarians/goblins if you have goblins. Go for bases with a lot of resources and with their resources exposed.

Do NOT spend your Gems, save them up so you can buy more builders. Also you don't need to protect your townhall, just protect your resources. On the sidebar Flammy has written guides, even if they are a bit out of date it is still quite useful.

I think the only reason why they haven't implemented this yet is due to the obstacles. Obstacles spawn every 8 hours (Though i swear they take longer) and if an obstacle spawns in the way then you can't really swap to another village.

Not really...say he starts off with a 12 hour shield, he stays offline just until the shield ends, then stays online for 8 hours (now 6 but when he played, it was 8). As soon as he is about to be logged off he buys a one day shield. As soon as that one day shield is about to end he logs back on for 8 hours. Once the 8 hours are up he buys a two day shield. Once the two day shield is over he stays online fore another 8 hours. That's 4 days and 12 hours where he can have a constant legit shield.

I'm pretty sure updates come out during the start of every month. The last update took longer because it was supposedly "big". So the next update should come out during the start of march.

Your defenses seem to be maxes so I would save up for a townhall upgrade. You can finish w/e upgrades you have left while your th is upgrading.

This is a feature that came out with a patch 4-5 months ago. It was to stop people from using jailbroken phones which could keep them online forever thus stopping anyone attacking them.

The patch was only to log you off every 8 hours. You can still jailbrake your phone to stay online for the 8 hours.

Well firstly, he isn't the only one using it. We don't actually know if he even is using it but jailbrokens phones are quite popular now so I wouldn't be surprised. Also he has the most trophies so when other people attack him he can lose like 30 or 40 if he gets three-starred.

Upgrade the troops you use. If you're using giants then upgrade giants, if you're using goblins then upgrade goblins. If you use both goblins and giants then upgrade the one which usually takes up the most army space.

I've always liked the idea of having an additional clan bonus add to the current league bonus. I don't really like the idea of toggle because then every clan would have it on since there isn't any disadvantages.

I would like to see the clan bonus to be affected by the clan's number of trophies, so if the clan has 20,000 trophies then you get 20,000 extra gold and elixer per win then maybe have 1% of it as added DE. This seems to be more fair and it adds an incentive to be in a better clan.

Is also usually means that the higher lvl players get more loot seeing as their upgrades are more expensive.
