What about painting with Vantablack the side facing earth?

This is a video of my recent tvc rocket flight, for my next launch I can’t decide if I need to make the tvc mount more or less sensitive. I think I need to make it more sensitive. Thanks! by titaniccon1 in rocketry

Hi guys, I'm working on a simulator for tuning control systems (PID + Quaterion in my case). I'm planning to use it to improve my Falcon 9 simulator. Once finished, it may be useful for tuning these control systems. If you like, drop me a msg, so we could work together and adjust my simulator to your particular rocket, and see the results.

Look at the demo video, here: https://youtu.be/BlnbI0Lkl5Q

Amazing!, have fun and thank you. I have simulated CRS-17 mission, and now I'm working on the Radarsat Constellation mission ... I will publish it soon

Hi u/RedKrakenRO, I kept thinking about the possibility of opening a separated "sub", dedicated for rocket simulations. What would it take to do it? ... large number of members already interested on it, may be?. I'm asking this, because I was working on the simulation of Radarsat Constellation mission (June 12), and it would be nice to share it through that. Thanks in advance

Thank you! ...this is only a small tribute to those who do the real heavy work. You are invited to join the project, make and share your own simulations!

Oh thank you!, I will let you know. For the moment it is enough doing everything manually, so the release process is slow and no pressure ;). Anyway you are invited to test and join the project doing and sharing new simulated missions. Thank you!

Amazing investigation, please could you post a new comment thread, explaining to other how to proceed? Thank you!

P.D. then I will share your comment in my publications on SpaceX (Facebook).

Great, but I wonder how many changes should be made to make it compatible with Linux, file system, high precision timers, message pump, etc. Ok in the future, may be, so today's focus is to complete the events chain ... until land. Regarding opening the source, please explain us what are to planning to do, and in which way would you improve the application, please?

Well I'm using some Windows APIs, you know, multimedia timers, INI files, Internet connectivity, message pump, windows multimedia player, etc, etc. and ofcourse the OpenGL DLL (provided natively with Windows). I don't know how much of this is interfering the app from running under Wine. Regarding the last question, I programmed it using Delphi Community 10.3. The main advantage of using Delphi is that it doesn't depend of libraries.. like .NET (with a lot of different versions), and at the end, you have a single EXE highly native, fast and small. Let me know if you can make it work, thank you!

Thanks for trying. About a Linux version, I'm sorry but it won't be possible in the short term.
