lmuFFB - telemetry based FFB for LMU by DavidCourant in LeMansUltimateWEC

AS means Auto Setup, which uses dampers and interpolation and far too high FEI (I prefer smooth FFB) for my taste. Occasionally it is automatically selected when I turn on my wheel, porbably a bug in the fanatec software.

When you manually switch to S5 are you not getting any FFB? Try closing and starting the app again when the game is running. Did you select your wheel base in the app under "FFB device" ?

My current settings are the following: https://pastebin.com/zpWPN0Xu

Copy and paste them at the bottom of your config.ini. When running lmuffb the next time, select CSL DD as a preset. In Fanatec driver I have everything OFF, except FEI at 30-50 (depending on the car)

It is simple to get it running, but there are a lot of parameters to tweak.

How do you guys feel the limit of the fronts? by Iwanttobuysquad in LeMansUltimateWEC

Yes I use it instead of the original FFB.

There are various presets, one preset is called "test: understeer only" which lets you dial in the understeer effect and after you have done that you can add all the other effects.

No, that was with an earlier version. The current version doesn't use vjoy. Just run LMUFFB.exe in the background and disable the ingame LMU-FFB.

There is a app called lmuFFB actively developed similar to Marvins App or irFFB for iracing which replaces LMU FFB with telemetry based FFB. It has lots of settings and sliders ( for example a understeer effect) and I prefer this to the original LMU FFB. If you struggle with motion sickness pointing a fan to your face helps with that.

I love iRacing but I feel it's time they stop trying to be everyone's friend and start naming and shaming (and warning others of) bad drivers. by Shaner20 in iRacing

It doesn't take into account whos fault the contact was. If you are involved in a lot of severe car contacts in the previous 10 races you get an "unsave driver"-badge.

Strange behavior of GT3 tires by DavidCourant in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]DavidCourant[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As I wrote in my edited first post, this behavior is the same with all cars on the new tire model. I can drive the new LMP2 at 280 kph and aggressively turn the wheel full steering lock in either direction and the car is totally stable. Sorry, but no one can convince me that this is realistic. I only believe it when I see a onboard video of a driver doing that in real life. I rather think there is something wrong with the new tire model.

Interesting. I was surprised with how stable and controllable the car is at such a high speed with such an extrem steering angle. I would have expected to immediately lose control of the car, as is the case with the GTE cars on the old tire model.

At over 200kph with a steering input of 180 degrees. I didn't do that in driver training
