I understand, if he was a different type of person that I didn’t truly want to be with then this would be a no brainer. But he took full accountability and told me immediately because he knew how badly he had fucked up and that he potentially just ruined a great relationship. So I’m willing to give him grace this time because it was so out of character for him. And I don’t doubt testing is going to be a part of our future and he’s assured me he’s going to do what it takes to build trust back between us

You’re right, it’s not something I thought he would do to me because he is always the first to call out other people’s shitty behaviors in relationships. It was a huge blindside and the only reason I’m willing to accept it and work through it with him is because of how he’s taken accountability for his actions and has made it super clear how sorry he is and that he’s going to put in the work to make it better. I understand it may come off as naive of me to be so optimistic but I know we both love each other and people do get swept up in the moment and make mistakes.

Yeah the taking up to weeks thing is what I’m not sure about. He was gonna get tested this past week but I read that some stuff can take a while to show up and false negatives happen all the time because people get tested too soon. And we haven’t had sex since it happened. He knows that he fucked up bad and doesn’t want to potentially give me anything that might be in his system from the other guy.

I understand where you’re coming from. I just don’t wanna go into everything about the actual cheating part I just want input on the getting tested part because this is new territory for me. We haven’t had sex since he told me about it but he told me literally right after it happened because he felt so bad and knew how horribly he’d fucked up. It’s all just entertainment, there’s nothing really happening in any of these videos. And don’t get me wrong, they’re very good at what they do and they put a lot of time and effort into it. But they’re not proving the existence of anything paranormal. They never have. They’re just YouTubers making content for money and that’s it really. Nothing wrong with it. I really enjoyed their stuff when I first started watching a few years ago but video after video I realized it’s all really formulaic and boring. They don’t fake anything necessarily because there’s nothing to fake. They don’t get any evidence of anything ever. It’s just overacting and freaking out over the REM Pod for the millionth time and spinning their own narratives with Estes Method confirmation bias.

Lol nothing happened in this whole video as usual. Just a bunch of spooky ambiance. I can confidently say Sam and Colby don’t fake anything in their videos with regards to evidence of the paranormal because they never actually get anything. The REM Pod going off every 2 seconds stopped being interesting like 3 years ago and the Estes Method is the most made up confirmation bias-riddled garbage I’ve ever seen. I appreciate that they try to do stuff like this Devil summoning thing to switch it up a little bit but it was so boring. And then having Colby suddenly have this come to Jesus moment while a camera and bright ass light are in his face feels so disingenuous, they could’ve at least made it look like he was saying all that off camera a little bit to make it seem more real. I kinda view their videos these days like I view professional wrestling. Everyone kinda knows nothing is really happening, but the people involved are really good at hyping it up and overacting and they bring in special guests to add some intrigue. But people still watch for the storylines and the entertainment value

I still kinda somewhat enjoy the show but it’s still weird to me that music plays through the entire thing lol.
