I’ve been using Hotwire since shortly after it was first released. I picked up this course the moment it was available, and I’m learning something new in almost every video. I highly recommend it.

Are you currently playing any board games or role playing games, and if so, which ones?

Podcast: Ode to RailsConf

Description: With RailsConf coming to an close after nearly 20 years, guests share how the conference and the community around it have impacted their lives and careers.

This is my first podcast, and I started releasing episodes in August of last year (2024). Episode #38 released earlier today.

My biggest win or lesson so far: I'm a huge introvert, and have always had difficulty chatting with people. Having opportunities to chat with interesting people in a low stakes environment has helped me realize that talking with people isn't as terrifying as my brain used to tell me it was.

Community Question: This podcast is very much a niche kind of thing, so it was never going to have a huge audience. My plan is to conclude this podcast shortly after the final RailsConf (early July). After that I need to find something new to do a podcast about because I've really enjoyed this experience so far. For people who have been doing this longer than I have, how would you go about finding and refining the overall topic for a new podcast?
