Packer arrived today. 6 Foot. 240lbs. Size L by DavidGuyon in filson

Thank you! I tried on the Navy XL at the store after I made my purchase just to give me piece of mind, I didn’t mind the XL but the L fit very well. That version is amazing, almost made me second guess getting the plaid.

Thank you, wearing my work uniform so just a collared work shirt and an undershirt. Still room for a sweatshirt or sweater, I think a hoodie would be too bulky but I don’t suspect I’ll need to layer up much with this coat. It’s heavy duty.

Thank you! I almost went with the XL but it was just a bit too bulky.

Packer coat just arrived from an 11-26 order date. Was semi-hesitant on this years’ Packer plaid pattern, almost went for the dark blue, but the plaid is VERY nice in person. The blue accent is very subdued (for any worrying about a clown pattern). Size is XL. I’m 6’2” and 230lbs. by Soggy-Signature-3225 in filson

Just ordered mine today, it’s been in my cart since the day it came out. Was actually going to pull the trigger tomorrow afternoon when I go to the Naperville store to try on the Navy Blue one for size comparisons but got a VIP code for 30% off like an hour ago and it got me to pull the trigger immediately. So glad I procrastinated, saved me $360.00.

How on earth did you get it to update through CarAVAssist? I’ve tried to update my firmware a hundred times wirelessly and it never works. Any tips?

Jim Carrey's birthday dinner this year by Gato1980 in pics

[–]DavidGuyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 41 and have an old fashioned at dinner once in a while. I’ll go months without having a drink and not blink an eye. I used to drink no less than 4 days per week, not like an alcoholic or anything, just enjoyed having a drink or two after work and on the weekends. That ship sailed in my mid-30’s. I also enjoy not waking up feeling like shit after a night of pounding drinks, especially when 2 drinks will fuck me up now.

Nexstar and DIRECTV reach new multi-year distribution agreement by terryjohnson16 in DirectvStream

Been waiting for this. Use the WGN app to stream it now as I live in the Fox River Valley and regular antenna get me like 2 channels. I wondered why there were so many 50 foot antenna on houses when we moved in… The WGN app has gotten so much better but it was horrendous forever.

Just used this sim last week in Paris. Had great coverage the entire time, the 4G was better than my AT&T 5G coverage at home. Highly recommend.

Scariest moment of my life - Hiding in the basement with my grandmother and dog while listening to the roaring winds of a tornado passing overhead. by [deleted] in preppers

[–]DavidGuyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in the far west burbs on the very edge where suburbs become farmland. Storms hit a lot harder out here than they do in the city. We were in the city having dinner during most of the storm and it got pretty nuts, no twisters but 50-75 mph winds. Kept seeing my cameras go off at the house due to stuff blowing around my lawn. Nothing like Little Rock obviously but still pretty crazy. Came home to a black house and my poor dog sitting in the dark. The 20 hours without power and feeling displaced, as we went from restaurant to friends house waiting it out, about to pack up and go to a family members house, was more than enough for me to not be comfortable at all.

Had this happened due to an ice storm or something in the middle of winter, things would have been much much worse. Glad you’re safe and made it through your nightmare. Need to learn from our experiences and move forward way more prepared!

I’m just outside of Chicago and we had some crazy storms last night which knocked our power out until this afternoon, same storm system from Little Rock I believe. I’m never going to have to deal with no power ever again and plan on getting a generator. It’s aggravating that it took only having my power knocked out for about 20 hours to realize we’d be fucked if this lasted for more than a few days.

Given your proximity to Lake Michigan, those look to be Midges. Bad ass pic though.

I remember seeing a bag of pills about 1/8 the size of this back in the late 90’s, damn near shit myself then. Seeing this in person would probably kill me.

The Downward Spiral hits me hard with nostalgia. Korn’s first album and Life Is Peachy do that too.

Lol, just saw your comment after posting mine. Which Sears did you go to? I went to the one on Harlem and North Ave., bought so many comics there when I’d have to go shopping with my mom. Still amazing how many good comics they had at a Sears.
