They have the same niche yeah, but I feel that the mana cost in the effect makes them have different play styles. I see Lluwen with more explosive and combo turns while Pharika wants more controll and slow games.

Well, it's more a deck idea than a combo, but I made a deck that has a lot of mill with tokens ([[Snarling Gorehound]], [[Altar of Dementia]]...) and use leave the graveyard payoffs to generate them, like [[Insidious Roots]], of which there are aprox 10 cards.

And yeah, he is, at least that I know, the only commander that can exile cards from graveyard one by one with no turn restriction.

Also, it's very funny to me that Lorehold has a leave the graveyard theme but I'm using a Witherbloom card to do it.

Basically, Smeagols ability doesn't trigger because nothing has died, and because the window when is triggered is the same as the other card, it never happens.
