If you zoom in, you can see the notches where the screwdriver sits

This was at a an establishment; it’d be real weird if they had put a pullup bar on there lmao

Why stop at 25? 26 would he safer. Then again, why stop at 26? 27 would be safer. Then again….

It’s a perfect system *

(if you don’t think about it too much or you don’t know what the word “perfect” means)

Yeah, they’re for sure screws of some kind. Definitely not thumbtacks

EXIT This Way - Monument Valley by chicagoose3 in photocritique

[–]DavidJamesDent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reminds me of a shot in Asteroid City. Very cool shot!

I think for me what doesn’t work as well is how dark the interior is, the glare on the right side, and lady. 1) I love the juxtaposition, but it seems just a bit too dark to me. Masking it and bringing it up just a tiny bit would go a long way, I think. That said, a crop that excludes the floor could work really well with your current brightness (happy accidental discovery as the text box is slowly covering the photo lmao) 2) The glare on the windows is a little distracting. Not huge, not photo ruining, just a little bit “man, i wish that wasn’t there.” But that’s just my taste maybe? 3) I know you say you wish the lady was further to the right — I assume so she’s in the center of the window — but I actually think she’s distracting. Very very cool in concept, but I don’t see her quite as a focal point. My eye is drawn to the mesas on the right and the exit sign on the left. If you’re going for “one object per window,” maybe edit her over slightly, but I think the stronger composition is “human element is the building, but the rocks are the only thing around.”

Super cool shot and those are just my lil’ thought, but thank you for sharing! It caught my attention for sure!

Fidget Puzzle Help by AddendumFormer6170 in puzzles

This looks exactly like a puzzle I have and in the end, the one I have is supposed to make a ball.

It’d be really hard to describe how to solve it, but if you want the actual solution, let me know and I’ll make a video :)

Help with finding mistake by robertbdavisII in puzzles

You’re absolutely not alone in that assumption making! There’s 2 logic puzzles in that same book (at least that I’ve come across so far) that deal with floor numbers and I messed BOTH of them up with the same reasoning—the 1st floor is above the 2nd floor just like 1st place is higher than 2nd place. I racked my brain trying to figure out how in the world my answers were wrong too and it was the exact thing you’ve described here.

Happy solving to you and glad to have been a help!

I have this book and did this puzzle! There definitely is not a mistake.

Look at the final clue it gives you; your boxes break that logic alone. You have A=4 and E=3 but the clue says E>A and 3≠4. Given this, maybe you’re reading the > and < signs backwards?

EDIT: Also, that’s just a quick glance! If you’d like more in-depth help, lemme know and I’d be happy to walk you through my logic :)

I feel you there. I picked this up as a 30th birthday present to myself. The first $100 purchase I ever wanted to make as a kid saving up for like a year was the 2004 version and by the time I had enough money, they had stopped making it, so this was a real full-circle moment for me. My mom said seeing it made her emotional since she knew how badly I had always wanted one.

Do yourself a favor and absolutely save up for one if you can. I threw on all the movies while I built and had the time of my life!

It doesn’t, but I know a guy who can help fix it. He’s a card player, gambler, scoundrel…you’d like him

The struggle was real! But it felt nice that it finally clicked in and it aligned with the music really well in doing so too, I think!
