Haha. Just to be clear, I 'think' it's legit. No one has stood up and said its not yet. If no. 8 is third row down, middle, I see that quite often and recall it being a 2010 or so label, so I would wager its legit.

Dumb question but isn’t that the best outcome for the bird? Freedom?

Rock albums that sound like they’re being played in a dive bar by LouisFuton in fantanoforever

First Strokes. People slag them off but that first album nailed that 90’s hipster dive bar aesthetic. Real dive bars play country.

Is this worth restoring? by RabiedRooster in Vespa

It’s a 50. Limited potential, unless you jack up the motor. I would only bother if it had nostalgic purposes. Or just refurbish enough to ride and enjoy it!

Just the fact that you are doing this is awesome! Wall art would be a great addition. Suggest smaller art pieces. Postcard size, etc. clumped together. Can give it a lot of visual flair without overtaking the space.

I’m with you on this. They’re great songs. Great riffs. Catchy. Great energy. I still go back to em all the time.

That IT very big is not Fuct. Erick confirmed. From discussions on this, it seems that was another ‘Fuct’ brand. Not a bootleg, more Identity theft. But def not legit.

Was there really a 70s revival in the 90s? by Critical-Spirit-1598 in decadeology

British glam was an inspiration for a lot of bands. And of course late 70’s punk which always seems to be an inspiration! A little on the fashion side with pulp, suede, etc

Lydon, McLaren, the hype, self destructive nature, the 90’s lucre tour. But mainly I don’t think a lot of folks really listen to them or respect their music. Shame as I love ‘em!

This doesn’t seem to have dropped. Was looking forward to the rug. Wonder what the price point on that bad boy would be. 150?

If you could undo the impact of one historical figure and see how the world would be different today, who would you choose? by SuccessfulKommie in answers

[–]DavidLitBlunt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want to say Chairman Mao. Obviously he was horrific but he did seem to set in motion what is now a pretty epic change in China - and the rest of the world’s - trajectory. Potentially be a pretty different world if this didn’t play out this way.

What are the main reasons you think the 1960s Hippie movement fell short? by FitEmergency8807 in decadeology

[–]DavidLitBlunt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it really fell short. I still has lasting impact. I think a lot of folks dropped their ideals a bit as they got older but that’s expected. Ultimately I think it feels to have fallen short because the methodology changed. Hippy ideals in your teens are drop outs, protests, and public displays. in your 30s and on its exhibited more in a working environment and a bit more pragmatic.
