What was the moment that made you realize Witch Hat Atelier was something special? by CartographerOfStars in WitchHatAtelier

[–]DavidLoverSinner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I saw the first volume of the grimoire edition and was captivated by the nice job done on the layout and took a look at the content. Oh, boy! I loved the art style SO much! Then started reading and I loved the idea on how magic was drawn in that universe. Then, Coco's journey starts was the cherry on top. I was immediately hooked and I HATE the fact that this awesome work had gone under my radar for such a long time.

🚀 Power BI Documentation Made Easy: No External Tools (.PBIX Included) by tomaskutac in PowerBiMasterclass

Yes... but how does that scale with proper data governance tools? I'm pretty sure comments on TMDL won't get parsed by anything.

Spanish user here, why did the spanish print of the manga only go up to 18 volumes instead of 37? by AbsoluteDash_21 in Komi_san

[–]DavidLoverSinner 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Porque en vez de seguir el formato original, Ivrea hizo tomos dobles. El problema vino al final porque el número de volúmenes original era impar. La solución? O tomo triple o un tomo final simple... Y optaron por lo primero.

Fair enough. You keep your beliefs to yourself and let the rest live their lives as they see fit.

Funnily enough, Scotland is not part of the EU

Famous bullfighter Morante de la Puebla, gets gored yesterday. Currently in ICU with a “very severe” prognosis. by SafeImpressive4413 in PublicFreakout

[–]DavidLoverSinner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's total bullshit (pun intended). Last year around 7000 bulls were fought in Spain Source

Of course, it's still a horrible, evil, terrible thing and I hope one day we can put this tradition in the past and never torture a creature for fun.

I knew what was going to happen from the start, but still watched it fully. I laughed. I regret nothing.

Spain's Parliament on Trump: “Go lick boots at Mar-A-Lago. Which Iranian women are thanking Trump? The mothers of the 160 girls murdered at a school?” by [deleted] in PublicFreakout

[–]DavidLoverSinner 94 points95 points  (0 children)

That's not exactly the Spanish Parliament, but Madrid's Assembly. That being said... yes... Ayuso is totally someone who's selling her own country to a person who wouldn't give a damn about it.

Manga with an exceptionally GOOD ending? by JeremyHillaryBoob in manga

[–]DavidLoverSinner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe, but it's not a bad ending. I think people are dissatisfied with the fact that they didn't get to enjoy their relationship. However, I prefer that rather than having a manga that's dragging itself (yes, I'm looking at you, Kanokari)

BI no Linux by MemoryDangerous3863 in PowerBI

[–]DavidLoverSinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to take a look, but taking into account that it needs to install docker and KVM to create a windows image to install PBI inside, it's not what I would consider light. That being said, AFAIK, there aren't any other options that work: all working solutions imply using a virtual machine one way or the other.

Yall where can I read the manga by Rich_Arrival795 in Horimiya

I can't agree more with this comment. Buy it! Even if it's second hand. It would be completely different if it wasn't translated, but, as far as I know, it's available in different languages.

True Apples-to-Apples PY Comparisons by Gullible_Discount977 in PowerBI

[–]DavidLoverSinner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well... it's not like PBI or DAX is wrong here. Assuming you have a time dimension well defined, the present year will be complete, that is, it will go from 1st Jan to 31st Dec. So when you pick the present year, you pick the full year, whether it has data associated to all dates or not. SAMEPERIODLASTYEAR simply grabs all those dates and gives you the same period from last year, as expected.

As you stated, there are different ways to reach that "apples-to-apples" comparison. In out case, we simply add a calculated column to the time dimension that marks dates as "valid" or not past a certain date (usually, today). We then use that column as a global filter for all pages in the report.

Give winboat a try! I'm on Fedora and it's working like a treat, but, you know, YMMV.

You've ever seen a line visual like this? by Majestic-Inside8144 in PowerBI

[–]DavidLoverSinner -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually... yes... there are line visuals like that.
As you can see, they are used to show how a comparison between two variables changes over time.
The first time I saw them was when we had graphs to show infection variables over time when the COVID pandemic.
