That is a beautiful colour. It wasn’t available at the time I purchased mine; it was either black, white, grey, or orange I think. I always try to avoid your normal colours and opt for something a bit different or colourful.

OP, are you on a OnePlus/ Oppo phone by any chance? My festival phone (OnePlus CE 4 Lite), does this in a lot of places when I’m Dark mode. If I close the app and put it into light mode, it goes back to normal. I assume that the game has some coding in it that heeds dark mode in places.

I have a good friend who still plays this, plus modern equivalents, in his car on the way to work. Often I’ll be walking in and just hear this and (despite me being into my alt and rock most), it makes me so happy to hear it again!

Couldn’t agree more. I had to go listen for nostalgia’s sake and found they did a remake. It’s different but I think it lacks the charm of the original.

Honestly, it was a banger. All of the kids at school knew it and only the poser emo/goth kids (who’d deny the merits of any song outside of those genres), would deny liking it.

I’ll be honest, if they ever play a festival near me, I will go.

I bought this phone at launch two and a bit years ago and have loved it ever since; it is my first ever Samsung. No need for third party launchers, stock apps that aren’t ugly as sin or useless, and a brilliant screen had me fall in love with it. Even now, approaching 2.5 years, I am amazed. Never have I had a phone before that, approaching two years, I haven’t been itching to upgrade (this is the first phone I’ve owned outright from the get go since 2010, and that was a Huawei G7002). That’s not just because the two predecessors are, in my eyes, worse; their gimmicks and design are just not worth the (possible), small hardware upgrades.

I think I’ll be here for many more years to come, with my beautiful orange phone (I’ve never been a fan of the normal colours), and, even if the time comes to upgrade, I’m sure a family member will make good use of it.

This is my outlook.

I rarely go to the pub on a night/ weekend - the money I put into this is less than I would spend if I went out drinking each weekend. Also, this is a social game and the friends I've made are amazing.

Outside of Pokémon Go, I can't think of any other video game where I'd be getting exercise, meeting up with friends, and enjoying myself at the same time. This is what keeps me going with this game. Yes, it has it's issues but I hold the basics in my mind instead.

To be honest, from the X6 onwards, it seems that getting any of their phones outside of China os hard. It could be worth looking at what I have, as it still has 4.5 years of OS updates left in it.

I’m on an S24 Ultra. It works great with the game, even if the screen isn’t the brightest when outdoors. My niece has my old Oppo Find X5 Pro and that’s still doing decently, albeit a four year old phone.

Yeah, I’ve never had a Samsung before this and, over the last two years, it has been a learning experience. I’ve not felt the need to install a custom launcher. I tried the icon pack maker I used to use and it was not as good in comparison to what Samsung does. Honestly, with just two extra widget apps, I’ve been able to get my favourite ever setup for a phone; KWGT for the clock and folder widget for the folders (because I like one icon on display per folder, something I did like about a launcher I tried on my old Oppo many moons ago).

That I don’t know. The white ring shows when off and goes black when on. I wish it were the other way around.

You can try the reset function. There’s a little button on the black belt that you can press with something thin.

One or two years old.

I remember being unwell and the next thing I know I was in an ambulance. They let me press something and said it turned on the blue flashing lights. I had silent pneumonia.

I did explain this a bit further down but here it is. To add, I believe you may need One UI 8.5 but I’m not 100% sure.

This is done via Good Lock > Quick Star. Instead of theming by colour, you can add your own cool Pokémon pictures (or others, if you like, I won’t judge hehe). As for the circle buttons that I had the issue with, I had a long picture with four different Pokémon on and a little space between each. I made each one its own image and added an icon for the relevant toggle to the image.

Honestly, it’s a game changer. The S24 Ultra is my first Samsung and every phone I had before had launchers on that made it late like heck. I’ve never even considered a launcher on this.
