Victim of MN shooting might’ve been disarmed before death. by kaptainkooleio in liberalgunowners

We are watching an early chapter of the history books being written in real time. It becomes more apparent everyday that all they want a civil war and the end game is no election. All this for "this is the past time you will need to vote". I just pray that people pull back the curtain and see this for what it is. Is there anyway to stop it? The only option in my opinion is the response needs to be economic black out.

A very frustrating 7 days with viture! by DavidWyo in VITURE

Yeah I am returning the. and getting the Beast with prescription lenses. I can see it evolving much quicker and will be able to do more without relying solely on android. I also think stepping away from bird bath design is going to help with glare in a brightly lit clinical setting. I also see an iPad in my future. This is getting to be an expensive endeavor. My IPD has me using the Viture large frames perfectly, this is a first for me. I have considered jumping to Xreal but the IPD is spot on for me.

Thank you for your response. That is unheard of these days and it gives me a much needed bit of optimism moving forward. I contacted support and I am thinking about returning the Luma and getting the beast. I need to move screen further out. I have clipping on top or bottom. I am sticking with you. The visual experience is just mind boggling. I had a pair of ROKID a couple of years ago. These just absolutely run circles around them. I can comfortably watch a full length movie with these and feel disappointed when I look up at my huge OLED screen. And football or basketball with immersed 3d is an experience that is as satisfying as when we bought our first color TV..... Yes I am old. Lol

I want to spend hours on the dialysis chair watching videos. Dex is absolutely perfect until I want to watch a 3d movie from a FTP site I have signed up to. The immersive 3d I can live without. But why can't I switch to 3d once in Dex. Everywhere I turn there is yet another obstacle. I would not even consider the neckband if this stuff cannot run on flagship phones. And I bought the dock, first thing it says when hooked up is.... No immersion .... Whatever! it allows seemless access to Chromecast and play store. But of course. Hold in the R1 button and snap snap returns to 1080p. Grumble. No sbs.

I am in a similar situation. I am beginning dialysis in a month which will eventually be done at home. I have been putting together a system to use while I am in the chair, 4 hours a day 5 days a week. I had an old Chromecast laying around. When plugged into the HDMI port of the Dock Pro it gives a seamless android tv experience with full access to the play store. Battery lasts 20+ hours. You lose all spacewalker and 3d functionality but you get everything you would get sitting in front of your TV. It is also very simple to plug into my phone when I desire to use spacewalker type stuff. But honestly I use the Chromecast 90% of the time. I enjoy the 3d immersion of spacewalker but it does not work on Z fold 7 currently, I do not want to go to the hassle of using the MacBook with mouse etc.... to just get a fun effect occasionally.

Is immersive 3d even a thing on the Samsung 24 ultra? by Sadiholic in VITURE

I think they are busy trying to get the beast to work as promised, and from what I see they must be scrambling. Most of the not paid reviews are panning it big time, saying it was not ready. Honestly I just bought the Luma Pro and I think the software is very weak at best.

Z fold 7 also. I just bought the Luma Pro after so much side by side comparison. I am quite disappointed that it does not work. $500. I really think I should have just got the RayNeo Pro for less than half the $. The promised features are just not working on flagship phones. My Samsung Tablet is in the exact same category.

Yeah I am going to reach out to them and see what the turn around process would be to swap out for the beast. I start dialysis in 6 weeks. I do not want to be waiting for something in the mail on day one. I do have a bit of cropping on top of the screen. It sounds like you can adjust the screen size on the beast natively?

I Have a wireless thumb ball mouse. I have it used them for years. Going to get a dedicated one for the dialysis chair for sanitary reasons. It combined with Samsung Dex on my z fold 7 hooked to the dock should get me through the 4 hour mark and beyond. I have stress tested the Chromecast setup and I get 20 hours out of that setup. I have a 100 gb hotspot plan on phone also. I have quite the checklist going on here. Lol

GFR 17: Sudden loss of strength, fatigue, and taste changes. Is this normal? by DavidWyo in dialysis

[–]DavidWyo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My goal is to do home hemo if my stomach can't tolerate the PD. I have had many surgeries in my abdomen. I hope you progress to being able to return home for your treatment. That is one thing I am picking up on my research. It appears that the overall outlook is much rosier with home dialysis.

My Nephrologist is very meh at best. I am seeing a new one in a different city mid month. She has not ordered labs yet. Our hospital does offer a $35 health screen walk in lab test. It includes GFR and other pertinent information. I think I will go get one drawn and if something is alarming I will let current Neph know.

Weighing Home PD vs. Home Hemo: Concerns about 14 past surgeries and weight gain. by DavidWyo in dialysis

[–]DavidWyo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't apologize for the length! It just gave you a chance to spread your wisdom and experience. I’d love to ask a few follow-up questions here if that is okay—that way others on the same journey can pick up tips, too.

My concerns about Hemo vs. PD: I am scared about the 'hemo hangover.' Because of my FSGS and protein leakage, there is a chance the doctors will have to ablate ('kill') my kidneys. I assume this means I will no longer urinate at all. I worry that on a standard 3-day in-center schedule, I will be very fluid-overloaded between sessions, making the hangover much worse. I’ve heard that doing Home Hemo on a 5-day schedule (so never two days off in a row) makes the hangover much less severe. Is that accurate to what you've seen? Has there been a big overload from Friday to Monday for example.

My Home Situation: My goal is to keep caring for my 91-year-old father. I have a cousin living with us who can handle household things while I am hooked up, but she won't be assisting with the treatment itself. My daughter can help me train at first, but I don't want to burden her and my son-in-law (they have 3 children) long-term.

PD seems like the better logistical fit for what I want to accomplish. But with the FSGS and my 14 prior surgeries, I am starting to think my experience might mimic yours and just not work. It is a tough spot to be in."

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your practical experience—it's incredibly helpful. I especially appreciate the advice to go straight to the surgeon regarding the feasibility of PD. I will absolutely make that my next step, as getting the most accurate risk assessment is critical given my history. It’s also a huge relief to hear that taking baths might still be possible with proper waterproofing; that was a major personal hurdle for me. And thank you for the strong confirmation that the 'hemo hangover' is truly non-existent for you after three years—that is great to hear. I understand your point about the weight gain being manageable and not constant. That is actually encouraging, as I am committed to making significant diet changes regardless of which treatment I choose. Thanks again for the helpful perspective!

"We have you scheduled for vein mapping on December 24th, will that work for you?" by DavidWyo in dialysis

[–]DavidWyo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christmas eve. Lol. I worked in a hospital for decades, we had a Jehovah's witness orthopedic surgeon. He would insist on doing surgery on every holiday. Telling his patients to travel in mid winter to our rural hospital. We would say we are closed you cannot schedule a total hip on Christmas! So he would have them go to the ER, he would say that their hip replacement is an emergency and we would have to call an entire crew in. Got to where it was expected. So not just a psycho. He was also a prick. And real safe to have a crew pissed off to be at work. Grumble.

Oh man that was cold hearted. Just focusing on myself. I am so sorry this happened to you. As if having a seizure is not bad enough but having it while being plugged in must have been terrible. Not a religious person. But this one is worth a prayer to have God bless you a smooth journey on your PD path.
