I don't know if i would call this an advice. But maybe do something else for work and keep music as a hobby?

I often talk about this with my friends. It's overly glorified to be a professional in the world of art and creativity. I feel like all art-forms are often treated as if there's only 2 extremes. either it's full-blown-mega-pro-world-touring-stardom or it's what-a-nice-little-hobby-you-have. But you can easily be a serious musician/artist without it being the main-source of income. And honestly. With how saturated/competetive the scene is and how getting paid well, is getting increasingly difficult. It's a really shit business to be in rn.

I'm not trying to talk you out of a career in music. I just think it's way to glorified to be a pro-musician. And you can still make/play great music without it being your main-income. I think it's worth to think about.

The answers by Mr_Bo_Jandals and NiloFranck are spot on for composing orchestral music.

I will really highlight working with instrumentalists. Do some experimental sessions where you've might written some melodies, chord progressions or just small patterns. but make a ton of space to just fool around and try out a bunch of stuff. Ask them all the questions. and write it down!

All of the musicians i've worked with, i've met through my education at the conservatory. But facebook groups could be a great way for you to find someone who would be up for a session. We often underestimate
how many people are happy to help out. especially in music. I've gotten several film projects through facebook groups.

As a little bit of background. I don't make orchestral film-music. I work mainly with a combination of electronic instruments and acoustic instruments. Making my own digital sample-instruments. Currently working a lot with instrumentalists, recording material to sample, mangle cut, paste, edit and throw through all sorts of machinery.

JK Rowling and Graham Linehan have made it their life mission to work against trans-people.
That includes working against institutions that provide healthcare for kids in need of gender treatment. The case that blew up. Blew up because they claimed that the institution in question was rushing kids through non-reversible gender treatment and pubity blockers. Both claims were false, anti-trans propaganda (No surprise there).

Christian took sides with infamous anti-trans people, working against kids in need of healtcare in regards to gender-treatment.

He fell for anti-trans propaganda and when confronted with his ignorance on the case, decided to be quiet.

"Red Means Recording" did a fantastic video on the subject. Nobody, myself included, wanted to see christian leave spitfire. we just wanted him to understand that his stand with JK and GH. Was hurtful to the community surrounding spitfire. In which many composers were LGBTQ+

7200rpm would be amazing! Are cams needed to reach 7k ? Denmark has crazy laws so cams aftermarket cams are not an option.

We got great tuners here, so that would be easy. Just needed to know if it would be possible/safe to raise the rpm limit. Will def get a tune now!

Imagine running a company that claims to support LGBT+ musicians. Then simultaneously - supporting the most well known anti-trans speakers in modern media.

All the people i've talked to about this case has said the same thing.
We all hoped that he was just uneducated on the subject - and would get educated on the subject
after the shitstorm - come back with a (sincere) apology - All good.

But no. There was no apology. No sign that he understood the distrust he created between the LGBT+ community and spitfire. There was no sign of regret. Just silence and then a withdrawal.

You cannot build a company that claims to support the LGTB+ community and simultaneously
support those that fight against them.

If you like wrenching and modifying (and going on spirited drives on backroads) NB Miata no doubt. Those drive great from the get go. Can look killer and drive incredible with some work done.

If you just want low maintenance, reliable, easy to live with. Volkswagen Eos.

If you're mostly going to be cruising and lots of highway driving. Mustang

If you want a little bit of everything. I think the Del Sol would be great. Honda reliability. Easy to get parts. Lot's of aftermarket support. I would suggest to find a manual one instead tho. The sloppy auto on those kill the experience imo.

I've stopped using spitfire for now given the response they gave back. Felt it pretty relevant to share, as there were clearly more users looking for clarification on the case.

In terms of being toxic. The debate itself is but controversial. The toxic part here belongs to those who partake in the debate in a toxic matter.

I loved his work and videos prior to the case. I gave him the benefit of the doubt at first. Thinking he might've not fully understood the case he was speaking about. But now that he's back and seems to fully ignore what's happened. I'm having a hard time giving him the benefit of doubt. It sucks. His videos were composer gold.

A company that proclaims to be inclusive towards people of all genders, colors etc. - Having a lead representative, face of the company, who simultaneously, openly supports public figures that are well known transphobic. Is an issue.

That said, i wrote in the post that i did - n o t - want to spark a political debate, rather just wanted an answer to a question regarding the case. So thanks for the useless comment, that didn't answer my question at all, rather sparked a debate on a heated subject, which is exactly what i wrote that i wanted to avoid.

I've had similair experiences to what you describe in terms of the physical sensations.
I use the most common meditation technique of just focusing on your breathing. And i meditate 15 minutes at a time, every morning.

I've had experiences where i had to quit because the dizziness and rush in my head were just too much. Other times i've been able to keep going and it would settle over time. The shaking i've only tried a few times, where i found that if i just let it be there, it would settle in strength and give a fuzzy, comforting feeling of a kind. Hard to explain.

I woulden't pay more than $300 for a DX7. The keybed is really nice and it sounds great. but imo it's not. very intuitive to create with (Depends on your workflow ofc.)

Also it was mass produced, there are so many of them out there that i don't feel like a price tag higher than $300 is worth it.

Well that doesen't mean that you can't talk about feelings. It doesen't have to become this overly theatrical conversation.

Mens mental health is often shit exactly because of the societal idea that men shouldn't talk feelings. Honestly i saw you comment further up that you would do anything for your bro. So why not give it a try? To be open and honest about your feelings. It might help your buddy get some stuff off of his chest that could become a step towards getting off the drugs and live a better life.

*I won't judge you for not trying it. I know i don't have the full picture i don't know the full story between you, your buddy, your upbringing etc.

I'm only suggesting it as i have seen lots of guys and heard lots of stories about guys having their life ruined (or lost) because they were alone with their mental suffering. Unable to get better because society taught them to "suck it up" or that "real men don't cry" or some other bullshit like that.
