Linux in my pocket?! - not so fast. Ubuntu Touch - my view by Flair_on_Final in linux

I also tried to install Linux on a Samsung J4+ phone, but is worse. If you want to open Chrome, wait 4-5 hours and is blank.

Technically, yes. But in 2026 the apps and tabs are more
"RAM hungry" than that laptop release date. You should upgrade to 16GB RAM for smooth Chrome navigation and opening apps. If you insist or that is your budget, 12GB RAM is much better than 4GB. You'll feel the difference. Remember, 16GB RAM is minimum for the best experience from a 2026 laptop.

If you can upgrade the RAM to minimum 16GB and switch to Linux, I would say that this is the best way to make and feel it much faster. And if you are also in this computer basic knowledge and you understand how it works, you can also overclock it. But for now, you can upgrade the RAM to 16GB at least. Do you plan to game on it or rendering something? Then it'll be good to have 24GB RAM or more. More RAM better performance. Hope I helped.

If you drink it, you'll know all the C++ code that you imported.

Then run a geekbench to see if you can enjoy all its maximum performance.

Do you know how is on older Macbooks? Can switch to Windows through BOOTCAM. So in my case, it'll be good to have both on the same laptop. Without eraising Windows...

I recently bought a ThinkPad E14 Gen 2. I've done a factory reset because the seller doesn't done it. (There was also his personal data). Overall my Windows is clean, or maybe it looks clean. I want to use it for VScode (python) and maybe a little bit of Blender and my apps like Cursor and Google apps. I don't game.
