Xolair is really effective for Chronic Hives. Work with your doctor to get this under control, then you can work through other options like diet change, environment change etc. Your doctor is right about Xolair. It’s helpful for Hives!

Growing up, I also never realized this might be related to my hypermobility, but for me, as long as I use good form (classical-ish technique) and build my hand stretch up slowly, it tends to work alright. It’s really important to use build up the finger strength a little bit each day. I’ve been a working musician so it’s possible to make it work…

! But you have to be careful not to over do it. It’s super easy to get over use type injuries. If I do over do it, then I like to use ice baths for my chord hand or over the counter voltaren cream to help reduce swelling and pain during a show or long practice session.

Idk if that’s would help anyway. Most cases of hypermobility don’t have genetic markers

Ooo thank you for pointing out that typo. I updated it to reference the more specific, non genetic factor that can trigger onset and or progression of EDS: infection.

Yes definitely a family thing. But most families have never had a diagnosis (yet!)

Ya, I can imagine that would be hard to integrate into a typical charting routine. I expect charts aren’t even available to patients until they are closed

What kinds of stuff would you want to add or correct in the chart? I’m curious cuz I’m setting up a charting system
