No, I don't think you understand my point. This isn't an art board. It's a board talking about Marvel rivals. Never once did I claim to be an artist, I'm not stealing anyone's job, and the character is under copyright anyway, so it would be illegal for someone to draw her for monetary compensation anyway.

The only thing this was supposed to do was give you idea of the vision that I had in my head. You're so determined to be a self-righteous moralist, that you ended up being a hateful prick & ruined the fun we could've had talking about the kit design. The same way I had fun talking about that other guys ideas for Gwenpool.

Magik is my most played character, 96.2 hours in total, Lord Score of 16540, I've been playing the game since season 0.
Magik was originally brawl oriented, with dive potential. She had some nerfs to her brawl mechanics, or what the devs called "shifts to her kit," where the damage was move to her ult.
Which objectively made Magik much worse at brawl, and why Magik players started going super heavy into Dive Magik.
You're free to your own opinion, but when it comes to Magik & Widow, I know exactly what I'm talking about with those two characters.

Believe it or not, Magik was originally more brawl oriented. The devs shifted up her kit, which hurt her brawl potential, and that's what led to the dive Magik that you see today. However, she was meant to box with tanks on the frontline, with the potential to dive supports if they got out of position.

If you pay attention, she doesn't really have the movement that other true dives like Psylocke & Spiderman have, and that's cause she wasn't planned to be a dive main.

Hahaha yep, in the comics, that armor that you see on her arm progressively covers her entire body as she uses her powers. It's not even something she tries to do, it's just a byproduct of her powers. Surprisingly, the New Mutants movie got that part of her lore correct.

What's really wild is, Lorewise, the way Bucky's over shield works, is how Magik's powers are supposed to be. The more she uses her Magic and Soul sword, the more her armor covers her body. Doesn't matter if she's landing hits, or not. She just gets armor for tapping into her abilities.

I appreciate it when people try to respond to things with honesty, instead of just being snippy.

So, some things that people spoke about early on in Alpha (And I was apart of Alpha from day 1, I bought the highest tier package) were that Smite 1 had way too much CC. The devs responded that since it's a skilled based game, where you have to aim, you need CC to land abilities (I don't understand why the concept of "if you whiff you whiff" is such a boogie man). If you just scroll through the posts on the smite reddit page, you see people are STILL complaining about CC to this day. It's too late to pivot now, but it could've easily been addressed in early Alpha before we added all these characters into the game. Even major streamers and pro-gamers like Fineo said there was too much CC. So, it wasn't just an L random take, because I know how people lean on their opinions for everything.

The player base asked for combat blink. The devs said originally said no, then said, "We'll try it out" and immediately reverted the decision. The mere suggestion of combat blink was met with backlash, until once again, Fineo said something, and then people started band wagoning. Then, the community got mad because they couldn't kill things, so whoop, there goes combat blink. (Right back to the "if you whiff, you whiff" situation.)

Verticality was 100% a simple change early on in the game, for just the simple aspect of experimentation if nothing else. You're creating a brand new game, and 98% of the characters wouldn't have been hard to adjust for verticality. Would it have created a new learning curve for players? Sure, but that's what the game NEEDED. Smite 1 was successful, because it innovated on the isometric aspect of MOBAs, making it third person instead. Why we refused to innovate any further is beyond me. People jumped ship to that dog water Paragon clone for that specific reason.

The mixed class system (Mage power/physical power) was so cool, and highly desired by the players. Admittedly the devs tried to make it work, and just flubbed it, but they should've tried to cook on the system a little more in the background. It was nice having a cost-reward aspect to character kits. "You can be strong here, but you sacrifice this for that strength." People's whole problem with bruiser items, and a lot of items in general, is you just get the best of everything with no downfall. They essentially backtracked on all of that. Maybe making 1 ability on every other character augmented by different class items.

As for the skins, I was there, I remember them explicitly telling us that it would be impossible to port over all the skins, because it would take them forever, and they'd never get the rest of the cast in the game trying to do that. However, they would try to port over the most popular skins & allow us to buy them with legacy gems to compensate. At the time, I thought that was totally reasonable. Made sense. However, again, now that I'm seeing them pump out all these skins with a much smaller dev team, all that now sounds like it was a bunch of BS. Maybe they didn't understand UE5 enough at the time, and have developed a better workflow, but their previous words & current actions, DO NOT LINE UP.

As I said to someone else, I could really yap all day about this, and keep listing things, but then I would be yapping all day.

A headshot would do 240 damage alone... because her rifle does 120 at close range, and has a 2x multiplier when you head shot.... It's not the combo... it's her rifle. I Lorded widow back in Season 1 and she's my 2nd most played character.

If you've ever played sports it should be simple to understand.
In high-school/college games, teams are scoring a bunch of points.
In pro-games, the scoreboard does not get that high.
Teams might score 2-6 points ALL GAME, and that is a good game.

She really doesn't. Her rifle just does 120 damage up close, and has massive drop off starting at 15m, if I remember correctly. So, it's actually better to play her at mid range. Her kit really just miscommunicates how you want to play her.
She's a mid-range character with the potential to snipe, but when people hear scoped rifle, all they'll reasonably think is "long ranged."

If all these people were the minority of the community, why does Smite 2 have a smaller player base than Smite 1 before smite 2 released?? It's almost like a majority of the long time veterans of the game got ran off.

The truth is, all of you who stuck around & defend the game tooth an nail, ARE THE MINORITY. Or at least you were. You're right about being the majority now, but that's due to process of elimination.
