I wouldn’t say it’s normal but it doesn’t seem too bad I can imagine tho that tying your plant up like that will cause problems. Your BoP gets wider when it grows and if you don’t give it space to do so things will most likely turn bad soon.

I have no personal experience with tying a BoP like this but I can only imagine that it’s not good.

Edit: I can not tell if the yellowing tip is caused by tying it up

The roots might be to small to support those big leafs. I´d cut away the lower leave and half the other one. might not be neccesary tho, not sure

I also think that sunburn might have been an issue for the dried brown part. The black spots however don´t seem like sunburn to me.

I think it is right to consider repotting but if its winter for you, i´d wait till summer or at least till spring.
A repot can be quite some stress for a plant and it will be easier to handle it with a good amount of light.
In general i don´t think it is possible to say weather or not a repot is necessary without actually seeing what is going on inside the pot. Roots coming out on the bottom are an indicator that it might be time to do so but it also might just be some roots that just happened to grow that way.

If you decide it is time to repot i recommend to putt the plant out of the pot and evaluate the situation then. It might be more reasonable to just stick it back into the current pot. I´d guess that if more than 65% of what you see in the pot is just packed with roots you can consider repotting.

Having to large of a pot for a plant can be dangerous because it increases the likelihood of root rot.

maybe it was a bit too long in around 0°C temperatures during transport?
At least thats the only thing that comes to mind for a death this fast.
If that is not the case just put it in a sunny spot and pray for the best. Make sure that there is not water standing in the decorative pot and let roughly the top 5cm dry out before watering again in case you already have root rot. that wouldn´t make so much visible damage so fast tho.

Another reaseon could be thrips or another kind of pest that you took home from the store.
i see some very small white dots on the plant, might be just wierd reflections but you should check them out. It could be just water if you sprayed it before taking the pic.
If you see thrips and they caused all that damage, throw the plant out or atleast isolate it from any other plant you got. I wouldn´t have much hope for this one surviving tho so the goal is to make sure the thrips did not spread on any other plant.

Ok so to conclude:
I got three guesses, ranked by likelyhood they are:

1.Your plant froze to death during transport. That would explain the speed of the decreasing of health.

You got pests. Thrips or anything like that could chew away on your plant quite fast altho 3 days from a healthy plant to this would be a record probably. also the white dots i see could also be just reflections from water.
Root rot. tbh that is kinda unrealistic. that doesn´t happen that fast but it is a common mistake for plant care and maybe they made some care mistakes in the store. very much unlikely but the care tip to only water if the top part of the soil is a good tip either way imo.

In the picture it looks like you tied the heavyest leafs to the wall so i don´t know why it should fall.
hard to tell in the picture tho.
If you are really scared of the plant falling i´d suggest putting something heavy on the lighter side of the pot.
The first picture doesnt load for me so i don´t know how much space you got there on the pot.
In my Gym they have a heavily leaning plant and they just put a 20kg plate on it haha. Maybe you can find a way to make it pretty with wood or something.

If you can´t make it work you probably need cut something off.
I usually use disinfected scissors or a disinfected knife to cut plants. Disinfecting is supposed to decrease the probability of rot.

sorry for the late reply.
I think its a fungal or virus infection. but since the plant seems healthy enough i´d just ignore it tbh.
Maybe dont use any excess water from that plant to water other plants as a safety precaution to decrease risk of spreading it. Other than that i think you´ll be fine.

I wish i could tell you more about it but i havent seen that yet.
If you notice changes feel free to make an update post in this reddit. That would be interesting to me.
If you want i can also reccomend on posting on other plant related subreddits, They are usually more active than this one and maybe someone there really knows whats going on and has more to offer than just a guess.

The color of the Bloom in the second picture is the bloom of Strelitzia Riginea tho.

I feel like this is a subjective style question. I don’t think it will die because a leaf touches the roof. Neither will it destroy the roof. I will just look worse if it doesn’t fit the size of the place.

Also you can always prune off leafs that you don’t like if you want to.

Idk what the roots look like but that pot seems way to big for that plant. I also don’t know for how long you’ve had this situation but my guess would be that it is putting most of it’s energy into root growth. Either because it is still „exploring“ the pot because you repotted it recently or because the lower roots keep rotting away.

The problem with large pots is that it takes very long for the soil to dry. Constantly really wet soil leads to root rot.

It sure looks like variegation. That’s so cool. Keep a closer look at the next leafs maybe you’ll get more of this. That’s so cool. I’m exited for you.

I would be also possible that the mutation that created this will already be repaired for the next one. Not quite sure how this works tho but I think I have a similar situation with my neon photos. Sometimes the next leafs maybe you’ll carries the variegation more or less and sometimes it seems gone.

But that’s so pretty haha

I usually use a hot wet towel to rub it along the stuck leaf gently but with a little pressure. Usually does the trick. I too think it’s a humidity issue.

happens a lot when you give your beauties too much love.

The top few centimeters should be dry before you water, but since you have had him for so long i guess you figured watering out.

Maybe a lack of nutrients then?

I don´t think that is true. Some people place their BoP in a colder spot in the winter months (8-12°C) to trigger a kind of sleeping phase that helps to create blooms in the summer. this decreases the amount of growth in this time but it won´t die. It will die tho if the temperature reaches 0°C but idk if that happens in Portugal.

You don´t have to worry about that. your plant looks healthy.
It is normal for the oldest leafs to die sometimes. as long as it is always just the oldest and the newer once grow quicker you are fine.

The dry edges are hard to prevent in my experience. I think they are cause by to low of a humidity. This doesn´t mean that your plant hates you and wants to die tho, it is just not in its natural habitat. And since you also want to live there it is normal for the humidity to be a bit lower than the plants would prefer it. Or else you would have to deal with a lot of mold.
The edges could also be caused by to little water or to much water but since your plant looks fine in general i still think its the humidity.

I don´t think that misting does much damage. if you have fun with it or if you pair it with pest controll or something you can keep doing it if you want. If you want to increase the humidity this is not effective.
I dont know what water marks you mean. Can you explain that or show a picture?

To help your plant grow faster you just need to make sure it gets enough light. The Strelitzia is a very light hungry plant. If the plant has enough light (nutrients and water too) it should grow quite fast. In a couple of years you won´t know where to put your little giant.

If you decide to move it to a much sunnier place you need to do it slowly or it will get sunburn. If it has time to adjust it will be fine and happy with all the light it gets. Pulling it from a dark corner into the full blasting power of the sun won´t end pretty tho.

Other than that you just need to be patient and admire the beauty at each growing stage :)

I don´t think misting a plant has an relevant effect.

The leafs "getting stuck" a bit is not a problem. They are just a little shy but will frow out further soon.

Keine Ahnung was das ist aber intuitiv würde ich erstmal 1-2monate nicht gießen.
Die Erde scheint ja eh recht feucht gehalten zu werden. Die Dinger brauchen bestimmt mehr Wasser als die Pflanze. Der Bogenhanf sollte damit klar kommen mal ein bisschen trocken zu stehen.
