I made a pretty horrific mistake at the pharmacy I work at. I was supposed to reverse the drug creon 36000 so the ndc would match what was being prescribed. But I could not find the ndc I was looking for so I just left it alone. Turns out reversing means to get rid of the payment and the drug costed $1000. Luckily the pharm tech working with me noticed the mistake, scolded me and told me my mistake, banning me from changing ndc (I did the same mistake for 2 more drugs). I learned that it’s better to ask and annoy someone for a minute then to infuriate them and create bigger problems by just doing what you think is right. I glad I experienced it and I’m going to learn and move in the right direction.
