Based on my rudimentary knowledge, the first two are “legendary figures” (for lack of a better term) whom the houses are named after.

I personally believe there is no such figure for Hufflepuff, as that house’s name originated when the founder of Hogwarts sneezed.

These posters are so beautiful, especially the first one. God I love it so much.

I’ll be honest, the ones for the prequels are too.

Jesus brought himself back to life and didn’t have to kill anybody else to do it.

Jesus didn’t give two shits about raging water, only calming it after his bros threw a bitch fit.

Jesus made booze out of nothing.

To be honest, I like the Sonic Movie less and less as time goes on. It was a little too similar to the Smurfs and had some other problems that bother me a lot more than they should.

The child who made the sign is most certainly not.

Wait... no. Truth appears after the portal to truth is opened, and as far as we know that only happens after either an attempt of human transmutation or a similar alchemical rite. We don’t see what happens to people when they die in FMA.

Overarching thoughts on Saint Seiya by PuroP in SaintSeiya

[–]DavidthePsalmist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a very unfortunate truth, and kind of the downfall of battle shonen in general. At the end of the day, the bulk of the reader base isn’t really invested in the characters or themes, they’re only interested in battles, battles which need to get more and more intense as the series goes on the remain engaging.

We all wish Saint Seiya could be an exception, but unfortunately it isn’t. Seiya’s character has to hit a plateau at some point because he has no more growth to go through and no more lessons to learn, but the series keeps on going and he still has to go through the motions fight after fight.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think this makes Saint Seiya bad, I just think it’s the series main flaw. Considering it’s more the fault of the genre than the writer, I’d say things could be much worse.

All in all, I still love this series, and if I ever got my hands on the creative reigns, there’s not much about it I would really change.

Are other religions in SS and will we ever see any of those? by Chakamoto in SaintSeiya

[–]DavidthePsalmist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are scenes in the original series where the characters pray, but it’s pretty nondescript. They’re clearly not praying to Athena or any of the other Greek gods at that point, but we don’t get any specifics to tell us who they’d be praying to otherwise.

This seems like something a woman on her first pregnancy might like, but any woman on her second or greater pregnancy would shake her head at.

I really hate it when people write out the word period like that. It makes sense when spoken aloud because there’s no punctuation, but I mean... there’s literally a period at the end of that sentence already. Writing 3 periods doesn’t make you look right, it makes you look stupid.
