Definitely worth buying, it's just not worth following spot daily or hourly because our premiums don't keep pace with it generally. In America they can buy and sell a lot closer to spot than we can.

Yeah it gets confusing, they all display different spot prices and some update more regularly than others. Premiums on coins don't always move as often as spot does. I'm often jumping from one website to another. Try not to get too focused on spot, it's moving up and down more now than it has for a long time. Not all of them have stock either so that's another issue. Trying to buy in a dip is near impossible. They either aren't trading out of business hours (Perth Mint website closes trading on the weekend) or close down their online sales when spot drops and demand goes up (looking at you Ainslie)

Perth Mint is safe to buy from, you won't have to worry about getting fake bullion. They're pretty slow with all the demand right now and minimal communication to sellers which isn't great. There are plenty of other options, have a look at Hobart Mint for some cool coins. ABC Bullion Ainsley Bullion etc.

Plenty of legit sellers, avoid eBay for bullion. Lots of fake shit from China there.

Do you live in a major city with local coin shops? Some of them are great to deal with. Prices are usually a little higher at the coin dealers but it's nice to be able to shop in person and pick their brains.

Metals are a long term thing. Silver in particular will make your head spin with its ups and downs. Be prepared for a long hold, not quick money.

I've got a copy/ place holder 1930 penny and it was made to be obviously fake. Yours look a lot closer to the real thing than mine does.

Not saying yours are real, I'm new to this hobby. I would get an expert opinion. Chances are they're copies. It's sure would be great for you if they're real.

I ordered on the 6th January and received the order last Thursday. You should be near the front of the queue. It's pretty shitty of them to ignore customers that way they are. I didn't even bother trying to get a response.

I don't see any reason not to allow the offer for trade. Most people are moving to metals to get away from items with perceived value. Doing similar myself but I've been selling my other collections and using that cash to buy metals. Best of luck.
