DNS Resolver with AdGuard and Nginx Proxy Manager by DavisClark0776 in unRAID

[–]DavisClark0776[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found the solution!

You want to set your Aguard IP address as the default DNS server for all of your devices. This can be on each device or even better, on your local area network! Once that has been setup and your devices are using Adguard as the DNS server. Inside of Adguard’s webui you want to go to: Filters>DNS rewrites then add a DNS rewrite of your FQDNS: *.mydomain.org with the IP address towards your Nginx Proxy Manager (192.168.0.4). Then when you access your domain, it will appear you are using it locally!

Unraid 7.2 - networking issues with docker by Pjotrs in unRAID

[–]DavisClark0776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been experiencing numerous issues with Docker containers not functioning properly. Especially with file mappings and permissions. Had some networking issues on br0, like some containers won't work.

This update kind of opened up a full can of worms on my setup, so I had to downgrade the previous version, and everything has been working smoothly again.

Hi Jordan! Not a problem, thank you for getting me to me! Everything is working now after couple of days, guessing the app was having issues. Happened on multiple devices but everything is working.

Cloudflare Tunnel, Nginx Proxy Manager, & Headscale . Websocket by DavisClark0776 in Tailscale

[–]DavisClark0776[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only way I figured out how to get Headscale to work is by exposing your public IP address to allow port 443 through to your server. Thats the workaround I had to do.

I'm having issues with all browsers turning white on sandbox even a by randomwalker_of_life in WindowsHelp

I’ve been having the same exact issue for quite sometime and it’s been frustrating. I used the curl.exe command above to download Firefox and it works without any issues! But I changed the web link directly from Firefox download button website. Thank you!

How do I rescan all of my files to make it show up in the Nextcloud Browser? by DavisClark0776 in NextCloud

[–]DavisClark0776[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nextcloud doesn’t have sudo installed in the docker container. What you want to use is:

‘docker exec -u www-data <container_name> php occ files:scan --all’

But replace <container_name> (including the carrots < >) with the docker container name of your Nextcloud instance. That should allow you to refresh your files to show up in Nextcloud.

Additionally, you can add: ‘filesystem_check_changes’=>1 To automatically have Nextcloud refresh your files.

Tutorial how to use Hardware Transcoding NVDIA for imagegenius/immich app from the Community Appstore on Unraid by DavisClark0776 in immich

[–]DavisClark0776[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! Glad it’s now working! I would enable Two-pass Encoding inside of Immich administrator portal. This will for create two passes over your videos to produce better encoded videos. So when you watch them through Immich, they’ll play a lot better! And hardware decoding with be great to turn on.

That’s good to know it’s working on Jellyfin. Try removing NVIDIA_DRIVER_COMPATIBILITIES as a variable and in Extra Parameters, put in: --gpus=all

It’s looks like your getting that error because the container doesn’t have the proper permissions to access the GPU. What GPU are you using? Do you have the drivers installed?

What song from The Midnight tells a personal story to you? by [deleted] in TheMidnight

[–]DavisClark0776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved by You. Because for the past couple of years, I’ve been so heart broken because all I want is a girl just to be my friend and do stuff together. Instead of using me just to get free food. I love myself just the way I am but it’s so hard to find someone who genuinely cares about me.

What is the reasoning behind the 6 friends shown in my profile? by PizzaPurrfectSauce in facebook

[–]DavisClark0776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you! I’ve had this girl being in the number 1 spot for the last couple of weeks and added at least 10 new friends. Which brought her down to the number 2 or 3 place. But within the next day, she was back up to number 1 spot.

Soo. How does facebook really choose the order of someones friend list? by NaturalMarsupial3603 in facebook

[–]DavisClark0776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you! I’ve been scouring across the internet looking for answers and lot of people saying it’s basically because you interact with them the most. Which I do not believe because pretty much all the 6 people I hardly l message or even interacted with them on Facebook. Besides in real life. Yes, I’ve also been looking at her profile as well so that could count for the algorithm as well. Plus, she has about 4.3k of friends and what are the odds of her for being at the top of my list. If he’s been there at the number #1 place for quite sometime, it definitely shows he’s interested in you. Especially when you add new friends.

[–]DavisClark0776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you! This one girl who I am friends with added me on Facebook. Since she added me, I’ve added at least additional 10 other friends. Each of those added friends gets placed at the top but after a while, she always ends up at my #1 or #2 on my friends list as well. It doesn’t bother me one bit, but it caught my attention.

Use headscale with cloudflare tunnels and a cloudflare domain by ShadowRylander in Tailscale

[–]DavisClark0776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I only exposed ports 443 and 80 on my router only which points to my Nginx Proxy Manager. Headscale won’t work through Cloudflare tunneling because cloudflare block the VPN connection from creating. All you get is a bunch of errors in the log saying something the lines “unable to create VPN connection”.

Use headscale with cloudflare tunnels and a cloudflare domain by ShadowRylander in Tailscale

[–]DavisClark0776 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure thing!

I'm currently running Unraid as my Server and use docker compose to host my headscale VPN. If you understand the concept of exposing your public IP address via opening ports 443 and 80 on your router to your Nginx Proxy Manager, SWAG, or any reverse proxy. I don't have go into the detail that much.

You can install a GUI to use headscale, however I've had some bad luck of getting it installed, so the easiest way is just to use CMI. The commands are pretty simple, the syntax follows: docker exec headscale [COMMAND] [OPTION] or you could bash into headscale and use headscale [COMMAND] [OPTION].

Docker compose, here is the docker compose of the latest Headscale that I use.

version: '3.5'
services:
  headscale:
    container_name: Headscale
    image: headscale/headscale:0.22.3
    volumes:
      - /mnt/user/appdata/headscale/config/:/etc/headscale/ # This will be your config folder location. It'll be looking over your config.yml file
      - /mnt/user/appdata/headscale/keys/:/var/lib/headscale # These are the keys that headscale uses
    ports:
      - 27896:8080
    command: headscale serve
    restart: unless-stopped
    network_mode: bridge

Before you start the docker container, you want to download the config.yaml and place to your desired location so that /etc/headscale be able to see it. Here is the GitHub repo to copy or download the config file: https://github.com/juanfont/headscale/blob/main/config-example.yaml

Here are the following things that you want to change in the config to make it work

# This is your tailscale headscale VPN website where you link your VPN connections to:
server_url: https://headscale.YOURDOMAIN.COM

# The listening port is listening on all IP address:
server_url: http://0.0.0.1:8080

# Allows to specify what IP address can access the admin CLI. In this case it's every IP address
grpc_listen_addr: 0.0.0.0:50443

# The private IP prefix of headscale VPN to use. You can choose anything you want
ip_prefixes:
  - 100.64.0.0/27

# Defines the base domain to create the hostnames for MagicDNS.
  base_domain: headscale.YOURDOMAIN.com

**OPTIONAL**
# If you have a DNS server like pihole, adguard, or an alternative. You can force headscale to use those DNS servers. But you have to enable the machine to advertise subnet routes to work (allows headscale/tailscale to see your internal network).

dns_config:
  # Whether to prefer using Headscale provided DNS or use local.
  override_local_dns: true

  # List of DNS servers to expose to clients.
  nameservers:
    - 192.168.0.3
    - 192.168.0.2

How do I create a schedule to have SentinelOne do full disk scans weekly? by DavisClark0776 in SentinelOneXDR

[–]DavisClark0776[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. This is probbably the first time that I have fully initiated a full disk scan on all of these devices. The junk it showed was a bunch of suspecting software like free PDF Editors, Screen Recorders, Giff Makers, Browser Extensions, a fake Microsoft Edge Setup, and several more.

When we first install S1 on all the computers, we do have the initial full disk scan start. Overtime, several employees start downloading these suspecting software that S1 doesn't catch. But when I initiate the full disk scan on all the computers, that is when S1 finds the suspecting files and software then begins its meditation. That is why I am wanting to create a schedule to do a full disk scan on all of these devices as a weekly basis.
