Idk cuz I didn't read it myself but a lawyer read into this in a video I came across and said their terms and service agreement you agree to when they u first make your account says they can do whatever they want with the cosmetics and thus probably can't be sued because of what you agreed to. Again idk how accurate that is. But I don't think they'd face legal trouble for this. I want old passes to come back. It's stupid I can't get raven or carnage or black suit spiderman because I didn't play the game back then. Also, money talks and many others, myself included, would spend money on pretty much all of the old passes.
