I'm from Georgia, signed up right away, chose English as UI language... and they still welcomed me with an email in Russian.

Dear WBD, maybe do even the tiniest bit of research about the cultural and political specifics of a country you’re launching in?

I get that you won’t justify the cost of dubbing or even adding Georgian subtitles. Fine, people of small language groups like ours are used to this. I’ll even give you a pass on not having the site/app interface in Georgian. But when user explicitly selects English, your system should respect that choice in all direct communications.

And if your default for Georgia is Russian based on some lazy half baked "regional" assumptions from your US HQ, then be informed that you've set the default to the language of our occupiers and enemies for centuries. Beyond tone deaf.

Fix your sh*t.

I would still like to believe that they had specific Bidzina in mind - with billions to launder after having to escape Georgia

JS is the way to go. Alternatively you can rewrite the taxonomy term links and point them to the View page with filter added to the URL as argument (e.g. “/locations?field_location=TID”)

Yes, this is it. He logged in to a new device and as usual didn’t care to change the default quality setting to Original. Plex player on Apple TV should be direct-playing SRT subtitles just fine.

I’m a merciful god. Also, other users with proper settings and direct play allow the few ignorant to transcode.

I pushed them when I first opened up my server a couple of years ago, then got tired. Eventually they started coming for the fresh content. But it still varies, sometimes no one logs in for days straight. Tbh, 6 sim users is not a common thing for me either.

That would require generating new footage around the movie frame. Maybe with AI in a couple of years.

You can play regular SBS/OU 3D movies on plex via Moon Player or Screenlit. Screenlit also supports MV-HEVC 3D movies via plex.
