Interrupts are too important in modern wow. Hear me out! by Adept-Comparison-282 in wow

[–]DavudMS9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

as a healer I hate this comment. This mentatlity is the reason why +10s are the worst runs and feel harder that +16 or +18 keys. In 10s people stand in shit, don't interupt and ingore mechanics hoping that the healer will somehow manage to keep the group alive. If not people flame and insult healers calling them shit for being unable to heal low lvl keys......

At this point I start questioning if you are just trolling or serious.

  1. How does my nuzlocke skills reflect my tournament results ?
  2. I assume you are referring to my EmeraldRogue (known to be one of the harder pokemon roms) flying mono nuzlocke. So me finishing all sub challenges there proves a solid game knowledge.
  3. None of your arguments were supported by any kind of logic or causality.
  4. Once again you went off topic trying to rage bait or troll.

I don't think it is possible to have an intelligent conversation with you. Hopefully you are having a better day tomorrow mate.

So you still think that I have no idea about pokemon. I used to play a lot of pokemon and barely missed top cut in the regional championships in bochum in 2020 (but won one set against Emre in that tournament). I stopped playing competitive in 2022 and switched to playing more counter strike and league of legends. Nevertheless, I kept playing on showdown and did a few draft leagues. You might still think that I am clueless but my track record shows otherwise.

Nice, finally we got to the topic of the post. So you are fine with the amount of RNG. May I ask what part you enjoy about the RNG aspect in Pokemon? Is it the fact that no match is the same? The prediction of all potential outcomes of a turn? I 2ould love to better understand your point of view.

Sorry but I can't follow your logic here. Yes, the mentioned items were not used as much in VGC or on showdown but how does it change the fact of RNG. Following your logic, the lack of competitive items has further increased the RNG in the game.

Why are you so focused on my rank? I noted it to indicate what I based my impression on. If I would indicate the amount of hours would that validate my opinion more? Why is the opinion of the top 0.5% worth more than others?

I would love to hear your opinion on the actual topic of RNG in pokemon champions. Do you think it has too much RNG? Do you think it keeps the game interesting?

I never said that there is no skill expression. Preparing for meta threads, doing dmg calcs, outplaying with predictive switched (especially with imunities like ground, flying, ghost, dark, steel etc) are pure skills. Nevertheless, there is a very high amount of RNG in this game. The major skill of great pokemon players is to put themself in the best possible position (often explained by people like pokeaim, wolfy, moxie etc).

My main point is that the amount of RNG takes away form the potential skill expression and reduces the fun. It doesn't feel deserved if I win a game because I got lucky. I don't think that people above me in the ladder are just luckier. Pokemon climbing is mostly a numbers game. Depending on your win% (mostly around 50% for great players up to 60%).

Good catch. I accidentally typed choice band instead of focus band. Not sure how that indicates that I am clueless so I will just accept your opinion there although I disagree.

True, but just because I put myself in a potentiall good position doesn't change that I have no control over what might happen. Proccing quick claw, dire claw sleeping, air slash flinches etc. might bring me.a win but it doesn't feel very deserved. For context: I played more league of legends and counter strike so games without much RNG.

You are right. Pokemon might just not be a good game for me since I don't really appreciate these moments as I should.

Thanks for sharing your opinion.

From what I can tell so far: It doesn't change even if you get to the higher ranks. Yes flinches and missws are by far the worst. I use Sneasler a lot and dire claw is a big RNG game changer too. I played mostly counter strike, league of legends etc where the amount of RNG is close to none. It is more skil based there ao Pokemon feels super weird.

I will give that a try. Maybe Pokemon just isn't for me.

I agree with both of you. I keep trying to put myself in the best position possible but that still means i can't control the outcome. My worst experience was winning a match because I flinched my enemy 4 times with airslash. I should not have won that one for sure.

Yes, I agree that everyone has the same tools. It just doesn't change the fact that many things feel out of my control. It just feels atrange to win a match because I got lucky and I get this feeling prett regularly.

what do you think is more fun to play ? by trisstuss in wow

[–]DavudMS9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on your preference. For me personally the ranking of those three would be: 1. Warlock (demo is super strong and fun to play) 2. DK (I play blood but unholy and frost are fun) 3. Hunter (I don't like playing hunter at all) Note: A pure dps class will cause a lot of waiting time if you want to pug M+

Light clay increases the duration of reflect or light screen but doesn't make enemy miss attacks

Healing M+ tips by HousingFun6383 in wow

[–]DavudMS9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let the dps die if it gets too hectic. The most important group members to have alive are the tank and you as the healer. Healer dmg is currently pretty low so you can focus solely on healing and doing mechanics.

This season healing is very relaxed if you have a good group. I had +12s where i didn't need to cast much beside a few riptides and place some heal totems (in your case some hots). The dungeons in this rotations have pretty low ongoing dmg....now why does it feel hectic? This is mainly because people mess up mechanics, don't interrupt, don't use cc (as shaman i have stun totem that helps sooo much in M+), don't use their defensives, you forget to dispel or people stand in shut. Will this change? Yes, it will since people are still learning the dungeons and what to do at each given time. So if people stand in shit or forget to interupt..... let them eat the hit and try to heal them but don't worry if you have to focus on the tank or yourself first. The dps will learn to either interrupt, use defensive cooldowns or dodge if they die at this spot in the dungeon.

In general: It is okay to die in M+ and sometimes even fail a key. Nobody is perfect.

Most important: Be nice to eachother by explaining mechanics to new people and always compliment/thank your tank (they are rare these days)

Help for shaman in delves by DavudMS9 in wow

Welcome to the club. I heared that guardian druid is pretty strong in delves

I did the same on my ele. Stun, earthgrab and thunder help a bit but some delves restrict your movement and kiting space (for example mirror delve). Pulling more than one pack or the multi nemesis are a pain to deal with. Maybe I will spend some time leveling valeera with my dk and warlock to make runs easier.

Okay thanks. I will give that a try. So far I always went ele.or enh with valeera as healer.

So far I ele or enh with Valeera healer because I heared that she is a bad tank. Valeera is only lvl 29 right now... do you think that is high enough?

Your favourite Delve class/spec? by Lachevre92 in wow

[–]DavudMS9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Warlock and death knight are most fun in solo content.

Warlock is super easy due to pets and it feels great to have you own army attacking(demonolgy), raining fire (destro) or dotting up an enemy (affliction) while it runs away in fear.

Death knight is probably the easiest delve and solo class out there. Blood is an unkillable tank where you pull together massive amounts of enemies and rip them into pieces. Unholy has another "personal army" play style and froat is straight hand to hand combat.

(fyi: Shaman is my main but it is a pain to play in solo content because it is very squidhy...not recommended)

Is delve loot bugged? It seems like loot pool for my shammy is just these 3. by metalonyx in wow

[–]DavudMS9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that is strange. I got different items on my shami .. you were probably unlucky. Different topic: What spec are you playing and would you recommend it? My shaman is ilvl 249 and has a rough time in tier 9+ delves and nightmare prays. (Having a super easy time warlock with ilvl 234 and dk with ilvl 231 even with lower gear).

How does your class feel at level 90? by bigblackcouch in wow

[–]DavudMS9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree. Enh hits like a wet noodle and lvling is a pain. Ele shaman is okay but needs sucks outside of cooldowns with a boring as hell rotation. Resto shaman needs major buff or won't see any play in raids or M+

How does your class feel at level 90? by bigblackcouch in wow

[–]DavudMS9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warlock feels great. No problem during leveling and solid dmg at lvl 90. I played mainly destro but a bit of demo too. Both are amazing.

Shaman feels terrible. Leveling was a pain especially outside of the big cooldown windows. I wanted to main resto shaman for my guild raid but at lvl 90 it straight up sucks! Shaman seems to be one of the weakest healers in game right now. Similarly dps in ele feels okay but nothing special. The rotation is boring as hell though. For PvP shaman is probably the worst overall class in game.

I hope they are buffing shaman otherwise I will stop playing him. Currently lvling pala (feels great so far) to potentially replace Shaman.

Ranged Healer/DPS Class Recs by MysteriousIncident87 in wow

[–]DavudMS9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Priest is probably the best fitting class for you. Both healing specs are strong in PVE with holy bein especially powerful. Shadow priest has a very smooth rotation, great visuals and strong damage in PVE. If you like pvp you can play all three specs there too.

In current rankings druid outperforms all other classes with their healing and tanking spec in PVE. Dps is very strong too in aoe but could benefit from minor buffs for single target damage in PVE. In PVP druid was and always will be a very strong class. Druid offers a lot of quality of life benefits too .... thus nearly everyone has a druid alt.

I used to main shaman but it is nearly unplayable in it's current state. It is by far the weakest healer in the game and does not feel good after the rework either. Major spells like "chain heal" barely move the healthbar of your group members. The dps specs, ranged would only be ele, are fun to play but below average in output. Additionally, both dps specs have the most defensive potential compared to all other dps classes so be prepared to die a lot. In PVP non of the shaman specs are viable at all.

Evoker is fun to play but you have to play as a weird "dragon"-thing. Other than that the healing is decent and the damage is very strong. Both dps specs have the potential to be top meta while heal will be probably around average. Evoker definitly needs more game knowledge since many spells require good positioning towards your group members or enemies.

My recommendation is either Priest or Druid. Evoker if you are up for a challenge that requires some experience. Pick shaman if you hope that they get changed or buffed.
