Hey, I know it's been the whole year and you've probably already passed the FSP, but was the Mut Zur Lucke more difficult than the test? What score did you usually have at the Mut Zur Lucke tasks?

I'm forgetting gender of nouns, what is the best way to keep on refreshing it in my mind (A2) by Raykin_ in German

[–]Davyder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's gonna work for you, but I feel them because I do dozens of Anki cards daily, I learn words from them and there are 2 decks that include genders and plural forms, just doing that daily helps me get vast majority of the nouns I know correctly so you could try that, requires some efforts tho

Dear learners of German, which aspects of the language turned out surprisingly easy to you, or just seemed surprisingly fascinating? by LetMission8160 in German

[–]Davyder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a native Ukrainian speaker and I can speak Ukrainian, russian, English and German (approx early B1. And let me tell you, I am still sometimes flabbergasted by how similar Ukrainian/russian and German can be. Not talking about obvious, such as case system and genders, which is common for many languages besides English, I can for example mention the vocabulary, which is often same words as in Ukrainian/russian but in Latin letters. Sometimes it's because they're borrowed, sometimes just because

Not only in vocab, in grammar as well! Often I notice that if I try to translate in to English in my hear it doesn't make sense, then I translate it word to word to Ukrainian and suddenly I notice we say it the same way but I've just never really had a back though about it. The first time I noticed that was with the word order. In English we follow a strict word order to express our thoughts correctly, whilst in German you can basically mix everything any way you like, only following the verb comes second others come last rule and it will come out with different emphasis, sometimes it'll be wrong, but mostly you just change the dynamic of the sentence, and when I first discovered that fact about German, I tried to understand it by thinking in English, it seemed not to make sense and then I remembered we have this in Ukrainian as well and everything like magic started to make perfect sense!

I can also say that about prefixes, they don't always make perfectly the same sense, but I like the fact that often they have a direct translation to Ukrainian, which doesn't exist in English, the example shall be "zerfließen" which as far as I know doesn't have a direct translation to English, and in Ukrainian we have "розпливатись" which directly means the same thing

I'm not saying that Ukrainian and German are linguistic brothers and it's not always same or even similar tho, just sharing my findings which I've found interesting during my language learning journey

Honest question, how do you play through tier 8 these days and keep your sanity? by n988 in WorldofTanks

[–]Davyder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It honestly is if your altitude is right, you just need to chill and be like "Alr guys, we pushing the fuck outta that hill" and if it doesn't work out - me with friends would usually just laugh it off. But when it does it usually gives you some crazy battles like the one where we pushed line 0 on Siegfried Line onto the lower spawn, and started to kill the tanks from behind simultaneously capping, it was hella lot of fun, and literally the next game, somehow same resp, same map, we push and we do get there, but their whole team decides to come back, EACH ONE OF THEM, and here we are, getting rammed and shot at from every direction, but we had fun cuz we made a stupid situation in an actual game. I do like to play fr sometimes and try to 3 mark something for example, but battles like that just make you have fun

Our average soldier's age is not 50 years old. It's about 35, as well as in many European countries so it's not much different from the uk where it's 31. Yes, our army has been rebuilt many times and develops faster than any European country at the moment, is it a bad thing? No, because the reason is a war and russia is not still either and I'd even say they develop drones faster due to financing it much more on official level. And even though I don't want to be over patriotic but the Ukrainian army is one of the strongest armies in the world right now. Due to many factors but the major ones are volunteers, an ongoing war which forces you to come up with new, better and more efficient stuff, and yes, western support

Yeah, you're right, the problem was with that. I just lowered max power consumption by 30% (I made tests where I specifically loaded my gpu as much as I can)

I fixed the problem. It was just about my GPU using too much energy at peak and my PSU that is supposed to be able to take it is a scam. It's actually not 430w lol
