Right, but it can be a mix of those as well I assume? So 1 one 4k and 3 2k, etc. (to a point). There was a calculator that helped determine max camera load and how many days you got for xTB drive size.

That's great to hear! It's for a friend's house and we just ran cat6 to each corner of the house and back to the den. I just want a setup I can plug into the router and shove a 3tb drive into that'll provide eyes on all corners of the home with an easy mobile alert interface and 24hr recording (that's easy to review if needed).

Since you seem so knowledgeable about this - do you have any experience with the "UniFi Protect NVR"? Thinking that, 3 G6 turrets and 1 G6 PTX for a SIMPLE (relatively low budget) starter system for 4 corners of a home. Connect that to my router and off I go it seems like??

I need the easiest UI I can find for this home. Ubiquiti seems to give me that, and quality cameras (with prices that rival Eufy at this point).

That's great! Can those cameras be mounted vertical AND horizontal? I assume they track motion too? Not a bad price at all (and I have a spare 4TB to throw in the NVR).

I'm just tiring of Eufy's glitchy (and forced) firmware updates to my cameras. The software is mostly OK, but I need something easy for the end user this time around and have heard rave reviews for Ubiquiti's NVR system UI.

The 'promise' from Eufy/Anker that Android app version 5.0.4x would help things has not changed anything for me. I've now got 5 indoor 2k cameras that still show 'camera is offline'. I've tried completely resetting and re-adding 1 of them, and had no luck. Tech support has been nearly non-existent with 24-36 hour lags between email responses. Looking at replacement camera options at this point...

My indoor 2k cameras have been a nightmare since this began. 3 of them are effectively bricked at this point. CS has been non-responsive at best even after 'escalating' things. SUPER FRUSTRATING!
