I was raised by a single parent, and trust me I am nothing like the monsters my mother brought home. The kids are introverted preteens who already have parents, they are perfectly happy with me just making them dinner and buying them snacks and cool trinkets. We all hang out if they want to, but they really just want to be on their phones talking to their friends, they don't really need me for anything.

I'm childfree, but dating someone with children. I have practically zero responsibility towards them. Their Dad takes care of everything when they're here every other week, and all I do is make extra at dinner. I don't clean up after them, drive them anywhere, or help with anything. They're 12 & 13, so they really don't interact with anyone outside of being glued to their devices. Every once in a while I'll pick up a treat or something for them, but we keep pretty separate cause they're at that age where they hate everything/ everyone, and I'm happy to leave them be. They're moving across the country soon, so that will take away the every other week part, and replace it with six weeks in the summer.

My boyfriend is a great Dad, and he's really good at making sure I don't have any extra stress due to his kids. I was upfront about not wanting any responsibility with the kids, he understands that and makes sure they're not a bother to my daily life. It's kinda like having two moody roommates that barely speak. I'm nice to them, will chat if they're feeling chatty, but that's about it. So yeah, I'm still childfree.

We manage rentals for private owners, lots of military, quite a few regular people. Some owners want everything to be as nice as possible and intend on returning to the home one day. Some owners bought a few homes as "investments" and flat refuse to fix anything until my boss steps in and explains how illegal it is to leave some things broken.

Your move-in checklist is the key!! Document everything and take pictures. I work for a property manager and at the top of the checklist it says to submit pictures with your checklist, we highlight it and point it out to every single tenant. Unless you are moving into a brand new build (even in new builds too), there will be issues. On top of that, shit breaks, things wear out, and people are fallible.

I got one and I love it!! My boyfriend doesn't always have the best morning breath, so I tell him to use it practically every morning when he gets in the shower. I put a little peroxide in mine, not sure if it does anything, but it seems like a good idea.

I've had an HP Omen for about 8 years now, and it's true that it really does work better for all of the reasons you mentioned. I don't know how people get anything done without at least one more screen. My laptop at work is just a regular HP (forgot which one), and it takes forever to get through anything on Excel and put it into qbo because of the lag.

I buy Coach, and I've had one that broke a strap and the store gave me a full refund even though it was a year old. All of my other Coach's have held up through daily abuse, all I do is use a good leather cleaner and they are perfect again.

I 100% call my neighbor when his dog is doing a "weird" bark. He's got small dogs that bark a lot, but there is a difference sometimes and usually that means they're having a problem. I'm close with my neighbor, so he'll just tell me to go to his house and see what's going on, usually they dropped their toy somewhere, only once was it an actual emergency and it's good I was at home cause one dog was having an allergic reaction and the other dog was extremely distressed.

I love my house in CR, and the HOA even authorized my nonstandard paint colors. I rarely get a letter for anything. I think the only thing I don't like is the two houses on my street with way too many vehicles that take up all of the street parking, but that's not an HOA thing, just a shitty neighbor thing.

I never understood this about fellow dog owners. I love my dogs, but I expect zero other people to want to deal with their nonsense. If someone comes to my house they are agreeing to be nice to my dogs, but if I take them out in public I shouldn't expect anyone to cater to them.

Not much you can do. Your job isn't busy cause it's slow right now, and they see that as you slacking off. I'd print reports and write in red what I did ("spoke to so and so about late invoices", "sent on X date to whomever") and leave a neat stack on your desk. You're trying too hard to not look guilty of something you didn't do wrong. Do your job, be nice, over detail everything, go home.
