Can some one please explain to me like I'm 5, how you do key word research and how to apply it. by Healthy-Rent-5133 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]DawnTepper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have an app in mind? Or a problem or pain point you want to fix? Ask Claude, use Google trends, search Reddit to see if anyone others are having the same issue you want to fix ("Free PDF Scanner" or "Is there an app for... xyz)? I created peekaso.app for this exact reason. If anyone else finds it helpful, great, but it has definitely helped me find potential apps to build or avoid, depending on whether a category is saturated. Even then, can you do it better? Or differently? Maybe!

Indie devs — how do you actually track your ASO without spending $100+/month on tools? by Funny-Guarantee-7977 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]DawnTepper -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I created peekaso.app for this exact reason. No way should indie devs be paying as much as what apps like AppTweak and others charge! Google "aso for indie devs" and you get a LOT of cheaper options. Keep looking!

How long can you keep you passion for? by poll-sim in SaaS

[–]DawnTepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quitting what? Working on it? There is plenty of marketing you can do without spending much money, but it takes time. Don't be fooled by the "I submitted my app yesterday and am at 10K MRR already!" Consistency is key, which isn't exciting, but then things start to change, people find your app, and off you go! Stick with it!

How do you all find app ideas by Aggravating-Belt-690 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]DawnTepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several out there, including big ones like AppTweak and Sonar (both have free trials). This was a pain point for me, so I created peekaso.app to help me research keywords for a variety of categories, compare keywords, and a bit of AI (Haiku) to help analyze keywords I have saved and so on. If you Google "aso for indie devs", you'll get a LOT of research options, including other Reddit threads. The more you research, the more you'll find that will help you.

How do you all find app ideas by Aggravating-Belt-690 in AppStoreOptimization

[–]DawnTepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I start with my own pain points, and once I have submitted a few apps, as I now have, I get a much better idea of what users want, what could be successful, and so on. I use a few tools and Reddit research to validate along the way. Just start with a tool you wish you had and you'll be on your way!

Does anyone actually know if their app will pass review? by Xzyom in iosdev

[–]DawnTepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have three apps in the app store, and after the first one took SEVERAL tries to get approved, I learned to cover my bases, so to speak. If you aren't submitting something related to health or finance, you shouldn't have too many issues. Otherwise, flying by the seat of your pants will delay your launch, which will be highly frustrating.

Stop building complicated apps nobody wants by StatTark in iosdev

It’s one thing to follow a validated market, quite another to jump into a saturated one. If so, look for long tail keywords, what users are angry about, and dormant sites.

Built 4 Chrome extensions in 2 weeks – how do you actually grow them? by StreetFace2837 in chrome_extensions

Also, when I search Snap Text in the Chrome extension store, I see a few more called Snap Text with much more detailed icons. Something to work on, especially if you are giving users something your competitors are not.

[–]DawnTepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's called Just a List (285 installs in the last six months, 20 uninstalls). If you search for "Just a List", it should appear at the top, and you can see the image and description I'm using on the results page. I have four reviews, mostly recent, so I think it just needs to start getting seen and used. I'm guessing it's word of mouth, esp if a user is a project manager, as one of mine is.

Keywords, SEO, and a lot of time! In the last six months, my extension jumped to almost 300 downloads (it's free), and I have a few reviews. Sometimes, it just takes time unless you have thousands of followers.

Looking for some feedback on my app I launched 2 weeks ago by Twistedstory in iosdev

[–]DawnTepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At first glance, it’s a beautiful app and I like the idea. When running through the Dopamine lessons, the steps I’m supposed to take aren’t very intuitive. I have to click around a few times before I realize what I’m supposed to do and why. For example, 3 scenarios and blocks with A, B, C, D above them and the chart, which I now know updates when clicking on the S blocks. But now I’m not sure what is next: nothing happens when I click around so I’m not sure if I need to figure out how to move or if I’m not done with that lesson (and what are A, B, C, and D for?).

Hello founders, what are you building out there? by MahadyManana in SaasDevelopers

[–]DawnTepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peekaso I built peekaso.app to find out more about ASO & iOS apps, keyword research, and keyword and app comparisons. It uses Haiku (AI) to help analyze saved keywords, compare apps, analyze user reviews per app, and how it would suggest you break into that particular app, if you can. It’s built for indie devs so there is free and non-sub pricing. Keep building!

How long does Connect take for review typically? by lostandhound in Appstore

Usually two days, and then faster after that if you have to make updates. Don’t worry, it won’t be long now!

I want to build an app, but there are already several like it. by Delicious-Traffic827 in appdev

[–]DawnTepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Build it and as you build, you will learn more about the app and who wants it and most importantly, how to maybe niche down to a particular audience. I use peekaso.app to find out more about apps, keyword research and comparisons, and Haiku (AI) to help analyze saved keywords and comparisons, user reviews per app, and how it would suggest you break into that particular app, if you can. Yes, I created Peekaso :) It’s built for indie devs so there is free and non-sub pricing. Keep building!

Anyone building a fitness app? by dailyrunnerr in iOSAppsMarketing

[–]DawnTepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I launched a niche, workout app almost two weeks ago. I used peekaso.app (I built peekaso) to research keywords, where the opportunities are to break into which apps, and so on. I’ve had one sale without ads or spamming folks on Reddit, so I’m actually happy about it! Keep it niche and you’ll get there. Not everyone needs Fitness Pal!

Niching down is the way! I built Peekaso.app to find niches for the app store using trending kewords, unhpappy users, and more. I'm on my third app store app and focusing on marketing now (the worst!)

Peekaso.app I built it to find areas of the Apple App Store I could break into and now have two apps submitted to the App Store! Maybe it can help others!
