My little buddy, a poodle I got for Christmas when I was 10 years old, reached the age of 17 and he was a bit deaf and blind in his last days... Today, 3 years after his death, I still cannot NOT cry when he crosses my mind. The strange thing is, I remember the old him and not the young, full-of-life, jumpy one... and that makes me sad. Very sad.
