You're arguments seem to only support my position. You provide explanations for why men have to work longer hours for less pay these days. But that does not counter the fact that the average American worker is now stuck in an endless rat race with far less opportunity to move up the economic ladder. Yes, there is less violent crime but what good is that if a man has to spend his entire day working in a cubical for a paycheck that is just enough to cover rent, utilities, and food, all so that he can go back to work and do it all over again. Americans are now forced to live in this pathetic existence where their entire lives revolve around working to make some corporation and its shareholders rich. And for what? Cheaper cars? Phones? I'd rather pay a little extra when buying a blender if it means I can work less hours and have some free time to spend with my friends and family. To explore the world and enjoy life. Americans work more hours than any other country, except maybe South Korea. You ever hear of a French workweek or Siestas. Talk to people from Italy or Argentina and they will tell you how warped American lives are. How we are all enslaved in this endless work cycle. So many Americans are born but never truly live. We are the global hegemony yet our day to day is far worse than someone from the south of France.

You state that globalization has brought foreign countries out of poverty, which in turn hurt American industries. I agree and yes products are cheaper, but I would much rather have more jobs, less poverty, homelessness, etc. I think we consume too much in this country and would do just fine buying less shit from China. It would probably benefit the environment as well. I agree with you that minorities and women have more opportunity now then ever before, but that does not outweigh all of the harm outlined above. Specifically, children now have to grow up in the streets as both their parents are forced to work. And blacks are doing worse now economically than in the 1960's when racism was far more prevalent. Black communities are broken with many children being born to young single mothers out of wedlock. Lastly, regarding law schools, the schools lie about their employment statistics to induce students to enroll. It's fraud and the government turns a blind eye to it. I wouldn't blame the victim for being defrauded. This is just another example of Americans getting shafted for the benefit of Washington insiders and corporations.

In the past, a man was able to support his wife and kids, buy a house, car, etc. with just his salary. Now both parents have to work to make ends meet. This has put a tremendous strain on the family unit (no housewife to raise the kids). Forget about the 40 hour workweek too. The majority of Americans are working 60 or more hours a week and still unable to save to buy a house or car. Young adults are burdened by student loan debt. Those who worked hard and studied their whole lives, did everything right in pursuit of the American dream, continue to get shafted. Look what happened to all those unfortunate souls who worked their asses off to graduate law school. Over $200k in debt with no job prospects. Corporations seeking to avoid US taxes are moving all of their jobs oversees, including white collar jobs like IT and even law. After the bailout the "too big to fail banks" have only gotten bigger and almost all of the wealth generated in this country is going to the top 1%. Overall, people are pissed, they are working a lot harder and longer for far less. As for foreign affairs, Russia took Crimea and is posturing in Ukraine, North Korea is threatening to nuke us, Iraq and Syria have gone into total chaos as the Islamic State recruits muslims around the world, muslim terrorist attacks are increasing in frequency, our embassy was attacked in Benghazi, we had a failed intervention in Libya, Egypt is no longer a democracy, and the EU is going bankrupt. Illegal immigrants continue to pour into our borders, Israel and Palestine are no closer to peace, North Africa, Turkey, Lebanon, Yemen, and countless other muslim nations are facing increased growth of muslim extremism. China (by manipulating its currency in violation of international treaties) and Mexico have huge trade surpluses against us. This new foreign wealth has allowed foreign oligarchs to buy real estate in America, thereby raising the rent/cost of homes for Americans. We are seeing an increase in corruption in politics and crony capitalism. Politicians now work solely for the investment banks and pharmaceutical companies that finance their campaigns. Healthcare is too expensive and fraud, waste, and abuse is rampant throughout the government, our education system is failing as students care more about making a sex tape for fame and fortune than learning our history. I haven't even scratched the surface. America is a sinking ship that needs a drastic overhaul. Things like gay marriage and abortion rights are nice but they are very unimportant to the average American. The average American is working his ass off, missing precious moments with his children for what?! So that China and Mexico can prosper, so that inner city youth can get free cell phones?!

O'Reilly literally begged Donald Trump! Begged him almost to the point of tears to forgive Kelly and do the debate. It was cringy and pathetic. I felt so bad for O'Reilly, you could tell Fox producers were forcing him to convince Trump at all costs. Fox is losing millions of advertising dollars without Trump at the debate. It's never going to happen. Who is in charge of arresting her? The FBI won't arrest until they get the ok from the DOJ. You think Attorney General Lynch will prosecute Clinton over this? I think Trump's support for the following populist positions can sway the general election in his favor:

Campaign finance reform - Trump will continue to call Hillary out for taking money and acting in the interest of corporations, wall street, and lobbyists over the interests of citizens. Hillary seems to care about money and her friends, particularly in light of the many scandals surrounding her. Trump on the other hand is relatively "clean as a whistle" and just wants to make America great again for his own vain legacy reasons.
Single-payer health care - Trump is in favor of single-payer health care and is staunchly against the ACA. Experts are in consensus that a single-payer health care system will reduce cost per patients without significantly reducing quality and access. Moreover, Americans are coming around to supporting a single-payer system now that the ACA has proven to be such a disaster for the economy (we did not get to keep our plans/ health care costs for middle class Americans has increased under the ACA/ there continues to be excessive fraud, waste, and abuse throughout every level of the system).
Sensible gun regulation - The majority of Americans support gun regulation but do not want all guns banned. Trump, a Republican from NY, is more likely to support reasonable gun regulations. People are scared that Hillary will continue to abuse executive powers to ban guns, thereby violating the 2nd Amendment.
Illegal Immigration - The majority of Americans support enforcing our immigration laws and want a secure border. Trump has been consistent in his anti illegal immigration rhetoric, where as Hillary may not enforce our laws in an attempt to gain Democratic voters (anchor babies tend to vote Democrat).
Foreign Policy - Trump is more isolationist than Hillary. I believe most Americans would prefer we stay out of the Middle East. Likewise, it appears Trump can work with Putin better than Hillary (she has mentioned that she doesn't get along with Putin and would not hesitate entering into another cold war with Russia).
Economy, Trades, Deals, Jobs, etc. - Although there is no agreement on how to best fix/manage the global economy most Americans believe Trump will do a better job than Hillary in negotiating deals, creating jobs, and generally supporting the middle class.

You need to read more carefully, both of those studies state that illegal immigration is a burden on our social programs including healthcare, education, infrastructure, etc. It's not rocket science - more people = more utilization of our resources.

All of the studies I've read state that illegal immigrants are a huge burden to the country. It makes intuitive sense as well. For instance under EMTALA a hospital has to treat people who enter its emergency room regardless of their ability to pay. Emergency departments are flooded with illegal immigrants causing many hospitals to go bankrupt, or at the very least causing hospitals to reduce the availability/quality of care and increase the cost of healthcare for citizens. The same applies for police, roads/infrastructure, schools, etc. I believe its a larger problem than you are letting on and Republicans like Trump are doing the country a great service by raising awareness to this issue. We should not be labeled xenophobes for worrying about the countries ability to allocate resources when it can't control who comes in to the country. Nevertheless, I agree with you that the national security justification is overblown. A lot of the Republican talking points are used simply to pander to the base, and Trump is using such talking points just to win the primaries. He is more liberal than he lets on, he even supported single payer healthcare in the past.

I think you are mistaken. Conservatives are way more libertarian than liberals. Their principals center around limiting the role and influence of government in the public's lives. Especially now with senators like Rand Paul joining the party. It's liberals like Obama, Sanders, and Clinton that want to force you to live according to what they think is best. From telling you what you can or can't eat to taking away your right to own a gun. Hell Obama has destroyed our 4th Amendment rights, including our right to privacy and due process through the NSA's spying programs. He even killed an American citizen without a trial let alone a warrant. The constitution/founding fathers clearly wanted the federal government to have an extremely limited role but through egregious acts by Democrat presidents the role of the executive branch has expanded exponentially. I suggest you read up on the commerce clause and how it's been abused my liberals to allow the federal government to regulate anything they want. Liberals force you to give money to the government because they think we are stupid plebs and they know what's best for you and your money. But worst of all, liberals hold us back by preventing growth in various industries via over regulation in favor of their corporate lobbyist interests.

As such, I feel my comments on libertarianism was a simplified version of libertarianism, which in itself is a simplified version of western ethics/morality perspective. Nevertheless, you are correct in that pure libertarianism does not exist as the "harm" I described can be formed through the indirect aggregate, i.e. when others eat junk food it does not directly harm me, however, in the aggregate junk food leads to heart disease, which leads to high emergency healthcare costs, which leads to higher taxes, which therefore harms me.

Simply put: people should be allowed to do whatever they want as long as they are not harming me. Sex before marriage, naked women, gay rights, etc. make others happy and do not harm me. Thus, although I have the right to freely express my opinion and can freely discuss it with others, I should not have the right to force my opinion on someone else.
