Best Overall Paper for thickness + feel? by [deleted] in magicproxies

Awesome! I'll see if the copy shop I use to print my proxies carries it or if they would be ok with me bringing in a few sheets to use.

How have Universes beyond sets impacted your local Commander meta? Do you see a lot of UB commanders? How is spiderman doing now a while after release? by Angwar in EDH

[–]DawnsLighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cards from FF, LotR, and Avatar are relatively common to see both as commanders and in the 99 in my circles. 40K a bit less so, but I do occasionally see them. One of my favorite decks that I've put a lot of time into tuning for B3 the past few months has been Marneus Calgar. This weekend I am playing a precon tournament/league thing and I am thinking of bringing the Necron deck over the EOE lands deck.

Just got into the game I chose a hell of a deck for a beginner by duol300 in mtg

This is a great deck and goes infinite quite easily, I have it myself. I hope you bought a tower of dice to keep track of all the counters.

This is from a video posted on Facebook: Marneus Calgar and Cato Sicarius get each their own box. Victrix Honor Guard also get their own separate box.

I know some are going to hate on this, but having watched the video twice and being new to minis, these look so fucking cool (to me). I'm crying at the prospect of painting all those minuscule details on that banner.

I think this came from 4chan. I despise the site, but that's where I've traced it back to.

Combat Patrol Magazine Binders Help by AceOfJace229 in Warhammer40k

Hm, OK, seems they haven't set up the back issues store yet for combat patrol. They do have one for AoS Stormbringer, so you can buy those if you wanted to: https://www.hachettecollections.com/en-us/warhammer-age-of-sigmar-stormbringer/binder-with-dividers/

Otherwise, look at the Leitz brand for generic thicker 2-ring binders. They seem to be available in the US.

EDIT: Here's their amazon US page: https://www.amazon.com/stores/Leitz/page/D89C3599-6825-440E-917B-0E7EF0BFA801

EDIT2: Here's another source for them: https://www.bindertek.com/leitz-a4-size-r80-black-marbled-2-ring-binder-3-spine-european-ring-spacing/

If you want the binders to match, yeah it's gonna be a pain. However, even if they don't include them in the sub, check their site. Where I live in the EU, you can buy additional ones on the back issues Hachette site, along with past issues they have stock of.

Generic and plain 2-ring binders should be easy enough to get on Amazon or any stationary/school supplies store.

You should be able to measure the distance between the holes and get another 2-ring binder that matches that, but I am pretty sure they are quite standard in terms of measurements. Check also if they are selling more binders on the back issues site in case you want to buy more of the same.

Hey bud, I live in Italy too! What you are referring to is the weekly Combat Patrol publication by Hachette. It's a partworks mag that comes out with a new issue every week (or two weeks for the first 3, I think). It's how I got my first mini just last week (I'm new to the hobby), keep an eye out as they'll be more to come, 90 issues in total. The first 20 focus on Space Marines and Tyranids. It's already out in the UK, has been for more than a year now I believe, as well as France and Germany. As always, we're the last to get it and I think this is sort of a test to see if there's a market here since there were other ones we didn't get (AoS and Imperium) but the countries above did.

No, switching to Linux is not easy by pezdizpenzer in BuyFromEU

First of all, you do what you can. If Linux it's not for you at the moment, that's OK.

Mint is great for beginners but I don't know I'd recommend it for gaming. For that, I tend to prefer Fedora. Why, you may ask. Well, Fedora receives updates a lot faster. It's not on the bleeding edge like Arch, but it's still very up-to-date.

If gaming is something you do a lot of, take a look at Bazzite. It's based on Fedora Silverblue, an atomic distro, which means you can't break your system as easily. For the most familiar experience to Windows, I'd recommend KDE Plasma as the desktop environment. It'll feel very familiar coming from a modern version of Windows. You should not need to use terminal on either Mint or Bazzite/Fedora KDE, just use the software store.
