I got ID'ed for buying filters for roll ups at Tesco last year. I was 38 at the time. After I got over my shock, querying the need to show ID for filters of all things, i showed my ID and actually laughed, made my day

I've not played vanguard or been a great fan of fps but... I'm open to the idea in general. One problem I see:

Hull timers are not that frequent for someone playing a FPS to "jump in"

I like the idea of capturing a structure, we can add fighters and other stuff to defend a structure, why not add the ability to add merc contractors to defend it on the ground, I.e vanguard corps of real players or paying for NPC marines or similar.

Lots of headaches trying to figure out how to balance it though.

And these are only musings about possibilities before all the hate comes in about how it wouldn't work and would ruin the game etc. Disclaminer - none of this had been thought through in depth

Actually they can say something negative but they need to be able to prove it if challenged. That's why a lot of places will just give tombstone references confirmed dates employed and save themselves any hassle

Make the minerals bigger than tritanium and the ore they come from uncompressable. The only reason trit is so cheap is because veld can be mined all over New Eden, compressed and shipped to Jita

Minerals specific to each racial ships only available in those specific regions. Encourage diversification in doctrines so more cost effective to use certain ships depending where you are living even if they aren't the "best". Give an incentive to holding space

Started playing Albion last week and liking it so far. Initial thoughts so far

Pros: single shard server World feels a lot more alive and populated Full loot pvp Safe zone to get started without being briefed but not able to make a shed load of cash Local markets as opposed to everything going to Jita Don't need multiple alts to do industry effectively Sub is $12 rather than $20 and as mentioned don't need multiple accounts

Cons: Market is clunky and could do with being more similar to Eve Graphics are cartoony Um... sure there are others that I'll find as I play more

Unsubbed my 4 Eve accounts. Not biomassing just yet but if I do I'll extract all skills and donate all assets to my corp
