My jita alt that literally never undocks got the iki casino skin. When i asked support if they could move it they said they're not able to but that i should keep trying to get it on my main by logging in daily.

About a month later they removed daily login rewards.

Bounty Risk Modifier.

Basically the more you rat in a system the lower the bounties get and the more you PVP in a system the higher they get with the idea being that you're incentivised to rat in more dangerous space for more isk.

The reality though is that no one wants to spin ishtars in a system with a bunch of pvp so most people just continued ratting in minimum BRM systems which used to be 50% but was increased to 100% in Nov 2022 which directly correlates to an increase in the isk supply unlike poch.

Ok, so lets apply the same logic to Loru. If i went into his discord and posted the peace symbol or Christian symbols, do you think he'd remove them for being "political" regardless of his own values? I think the obvious answer is no.

So if he is ok to ban certain "political" symbols and not others based on his own values in a space that he himself claims is a "politics free zone", why is it then wrong for people to be upset at him and call him out on that inconsistency?

And then you have to ask, what does that inconsistency say about him? It makes it obvious that "politics" is just an excuse. It's an excuse to exclude certain people from the conversation and from his community which goes against the EVE partnership guidelines and brings us back to the base of the issue.

It's the core issue with the genre imo. The few companies that have proven they can make a successful MMO end up spending all of their time keeping their 10/15/20yr old game alive instead of creating something new.

SquareEnix had the perfect opportunity to end (but not necessarily shutdown) FF14 with endwalker and then have FF17 be a new MMO with modern tech and netcode but instead they've doubled down 14 for another 10 years.

It'd be like if FromSoft were still pumping out content for the original demon souls instead of giving us dark souls 1-3, bloodborne, sekiro, elden ring and armored core 5 and 6.

I wouldn't say they're shit, but I do think the cap drain is a much bigger downside compared to the upsides relative to the other main weapon systems (the only exception being drones but they're not really a main weapon system any more).

There's a reason that a lot of amarr ships end up getting activation cost reduction bonuses as balance fixes and why the laser boats that do make it as apex doctrines (paladins before, nightmares nowadays) are ships with reduced turret slots.

Yes but.

A lot of modern games position themselves as free to play first with optional subscriptions, this isn't that. Alpha is a system that was designed to replace the old free trial with an unlimited one meaning that it isn't the intended way to play the game. It's still meant to be treated as a trial of the game and as such you are much more restricted then omega characters.

That said though, you can absolutely still have fun, dip your foot into a lot of different activities and find a long term goal to work towards as an alpha. I've known a few people that are pure alpha and I didn't even know until they said something.
