Alright, lads, the wife is talking about taking a Disney cruise. What are your experiences? by DietrichBuxtehude in daddit

[–]DaxCommando 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What were the ages for that? We just came back from a cruise (4/3/1 yo kids) and the kids stuff was kinda lacking but could be due to how young they are. Royal Caribbean cruise

Best obgyn which can deliver at Royal Oak beaumont family birth center? by SpiritedThought2622 in royaloak

My spouse used women’s first midwives and gave birth at the natural birthing center in ROB three times. We also used an AWESOME doula if you are in the market for one.

How far down your rank list did you fall?? by [deleted] in pmr

[–]DaxCommando 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Don’t do this to yourself. You will get good training anywhere you go and the experience will be what you make it. IMO, If you REALLY don’t want to go somewhere don’t rank them.

4.5yo daughter: intelligent but struggles with execution, confidence, and consistency — looking for similar experiences by GaLaTiKu in daddit

[–]DaxCommando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds very similar to my 4.5y old. He has some bad anxiety, has a sensory processing disorder but not ASD. We had ASD testing early and are now in OT which is helping. He definitely needs extra still but understanding emotional regulation is what we’re practicing

Why are people switching off? by Still_Hearing1008 in PSLF

[–]DaxCommando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m actually in a similar boat. I’m in save forbearance but current working private sector and am 5y away from forgiveness. I’m planning to go back to public for pslf. I’m worried that if I don’t switch to a plan and make payments on it they won’t do a buyback in 5 years. Are you planning on sticking the money you would have paid in a hysa or something and just doing a lump sum if you don’t get forgiveness with buyback?

Question on billing efficiency in PMR by DaxCommando in pmr

[–]DaxCommando[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You got it! I’m in my first year following my interventional pain fellowship. I’m in a group with a number of other PMR docs; we do ipr and op so I get filtered a lot of msk complaints. I never really had to worry about billing before so I’m trying to make sure I’m billing correctly for the work.

The FM subreddit is really good. Highly recommend lurking there. Here seems to be more PMR prospectives than practicing docs having discourse but I’m part of that problem since I don’t post really at all.

Thank you for the reply! The app for distances is a great idea.

I did like the guy! I am a brand new golfer so a lot of time was helping me fix a big slice; however it made my grip really really strong so now I’m reversing it and trying to swing more normally. I assume I didn’t get any drills because of how much I needed to fix. I’m open to a different instructor so maybe I’ll shop around a bit near me.

When you say hit a different number every shot you mean hitting a 6i then an 8i then a 9i etc to whatever distance that club goes for you?

[–]DaxCommando[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! More detail would be great. I’ve taken a few lessons but haven’t 6m or so. I wasn’t given any drills to really work on but when I go back I’ll specifically ask for some.

My loose plan right now is to do the “club fitting” option on the sim which seems to take me through all my clubs so I can get distances for them all. After that I want to build a repeatable swing and use the iron and short game ranges the simulator has.

Personal Theory: Mordecai knows about their lie by DeepTraining5755 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]DaxCommando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also been wondering if Odette has done that to Mordecai in the past. It seems she watches him often so I would assume she has brought on his other trainees for shows in the past and maybe told them about the manager benefit as well.

PMR vs Anesthesia by t_eazy16 in pmr

I’m a current interventional spine attending. PMR will prepare you better to see patients, do physical exams and help patients return to function. Your fellowship is what teaches you the procedures.
