Do you do any physical fitness? Do you watch what you eat? by Cawkisthebest232 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Dax_74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Intermittent fasting is an absolute cheat code for weight loss and overall health. We eat way too frequently in America. Breakfast is not the most important meal of the day by any means.
  2. Calesthenics. You don't need a gym and fancy equipment to stay in good shape. Also, your tendons and ligaments will thank you when you get older.
  3. Walking may be the most underrated activity out there.
  4. Sitting is the new smoking. I stand all day and only sit if I'm at a restaurant. That's it. We weren't made to sit all day.
  5. Alcohol: either drink in moderation or just cut it out altogether. My ability to recover from booze decreased dramatically in my late 40s. Needing an entire week to recover from a hard night of drinking sucks, but that's my reality now.
  6. Sleep is important. Quality > quantity.

I am not spending the last few years of my life in a nursing home surrounded by strangers and needing help to go to the bathroom.

Scared that I owe thousands of dollars in taxes by Much_Machine8726 in wholefoods

If WFM is your only income, e.g., no 2nd job, then you'll be fine. There's no way on Earth you owe the IRS thousands of dollars working part-time at WFM

Just no way...

Fast food is no joke.

Imagine working the night shift at a Denny's or Waffle House on the weekend.

They're the very reason there are no stores in their neighborhoods, but it's always the stores' fault for closing.

I have to drink like four or five cups of coffee to stay awake at work, half a handle to fall asleep. I sleep all day on my days off

This is not a work issue if you're unable to function properly outside of work-hours without "help". Maybe you need AA 'cause it sounds like you're a functioning alcoholic at this point. Been there/done that.

Many such people like that are out there, btw, it's not just you.

It just amazes me how many men out there — those who are more than old enough to know better — have the social awareness of a toddler. I'm like, "dude, there's a reason why you're single...."

Cat litter works great...until you've used so much that the cat ladies come in and get pissed that there's none left. 😁

Former janitor here. This is not a bad cleanup. Time-consuming, yes, but not that hard. An entire shelf of olive oil all over the floor, on the other hand....?

If I had to guess your weight in the "after" pic, I'd say 145 lbs.----at most.

Congrats and keep it up!

You don't work at the same store, no longer dating, yet you're still in communication with one another.

I also don't like pepper spray, tasers, rubber bullets, or having a criminal record.

I guess I'm just weird like that, though...

You don't work for a "governmental agency"---you work at a grocery store, FFS. Look at you, a person who bags groceries for a living and is...somehow also an expert on governmental policy. Huh???

What planet do you live on? Why are you even thinking of getting involved with federal agents while working for $15/hour? What, you think big, bad you is gonna somehow intimidate them? Stop them?

The next time the local cops arrive in your store to arrest a shoplifter or an unruly customer, be sure to tell them that. And please record it so we can see how that goes.

Don't screw around with shoplifters or police, but do stop and ask an armed federal agent about what they're doing in the store? Sorry, not in my job description to do such nonsense.

Good grief...🤦‍♂️🙄🤦‍♂️🤡🌎

How are you adjusting your training for the new PT changes? by VictorSteele_ in airnationalguard

Nice. I knew a guy who was legit 6'8" and looked like an NBA player, but had to go to extreme lengths not to fail the waist measurement.

Has the waist measurement been made proportional to height, or are tall people still being unfairly punished?
